War Damn Iron Bowl!

If you like college football AT ALL I suggest watching the Auburn vs. Alabama game today at 2:30pm EST on CBS.

The defending national champs (Alabama) take on my Auburn Tigers (and hopeful national champions).

I’m headed fully decked out in orange: shirt, belt, bra, underwear, nails, earring, eyeshadow and glitter eyeliner – to watch the game downtown!

Should be a fantastic game 🙂

MEDIUM

Let’s rewind to Wednesday evening shall we.

I was meeting W for dinner in Montgomery (halfway between us) and decided to head into town a little early because there was a New York & Company there. NY&Co is MY STORE. It’s probably a good thing that the closest one is an hour away – when I lived in Texas it was across the street from work, danger! 90% of my work pants are from there. I love their LONG lengths. I was hoping to get an item or two when @fasterstronger alerts me to the fact they are having a 50% off everything sale. I’m pumped.

Trying on clothes when you feel good about your body is an amazing thing. I still really haven’t shopped much in months, but I knew my pants were getting stupid big. So I wound up with a pair of SIZE 12 dress pants and 4 pairs of MEDIUM knit pants. MEDIUM. I have been recently wearing some medium tops, but medium bottoms are uncharted territory. I also got some leggings, a silver sparkly belt (i have a new love of belts now that I don’t have to buy plus size/mens belts), a shirt and a pair of earrings. ALL for $98. AMAZING.

SO obviously I had an additional confident boost from buying MEDIUMS when I met up with W. Thankfully I was feeling so good because when he gave me a hug he PICKED ME UP. I have not been picked up as an adult ever. No one had tried, nor would I had let anyone try. Regardless I was still slightly horrified that he picked me up. I was OMG he was have hurt himself or OMG he regrets doing that because I was so heavy. Well later Wiley picked me up again! I then felt better about the whole situation since he knew how heavy I was and still wanted to/could pick me up again.

It was a wonderful Thanksgiving Eve!

PS – how many calories do you burn making out? Because I this rate I might be able to drop some seeeeerious weight before New Years 😉

Huffin’ for Stuffin’ Turkey Trot!

Ran my 3 mile trot in 26:04 – that’s a 8:41 average pace! Redonk.

I actually could have shaved off more time, but I walked briefly twice after some GIGANTIC hills. Seriously Moore’s Mill golf course – party foul on the hills. The final drive to the finish was also a steep uphill battle. I really almost puked when I crossed the finish line! I also had to be careful on the downhills because it was a bit wet and slippery. I was so afraid of busting my ass.

Since it was a “fun run” they didn’t have race bibs which kinda bummed me out, but the shirt is pretty legit!

Happy Turkey Day 🙂

Thankful

What a year. Last year at this time I was a different person, I was such a mess making one bad decision after another.

I love life right now. I’ve never felt more happy and alive. “Change your body, change your life” is on a few motivational posters at my gym and it’s SO true.

I am so thankful for YOU. This fitblr community has been the best thing that happened to me this year.

Happy Thanksgiving and Turkey Trotting to those of you running one – I have my 3 mile trot tomorrow at 8am!

WIW – Hot Damn Edition

After a few weeks of plateaus, the first half of November and I am beyond excited to put up 2 sweet losses in a row. I love seeing numbers like that, however I really wouldn’t mind seeing a gradual loss every week instead of ups and downs.

Last Week: 178.2
This Week: 175.9
Change: -2.3 pounds
Total Loss: 46.8 pounds
Left to Lose: 7.8/22.8

At this rate I REALLLY MIGHT be able to hit 168 on January 3 (my goal weight to hit at the 1 year mark of this journey). Say WHAT?!?!

I’m off to go hike in a state park with a friend and then knock out a 5 mile run before meeting W for dinner and perhaps shopping at my favorite store New York & Company for some new pants. Thank goodness the closest NY&Co is an hour away.

Doctors Stamp Of Approval

Well the general physician and the lady doctor both cleared me for my full marathon training. Both were very supportive and congratulatory in regards to my running. The OBGYN did mention it’s important that I have 3 servings of calcium a day to keep my bones up to par because no basic blood work etc can really test that.

I’m glad I’m went and I’m even happier that I don’t need to go back for a year!

Quick Life Update

Life is grand.

Week 1 of FULL MARATHON trianing is in the books. I had a crosstraining day yesterday. Did the stationary bike for 5 miles and did free weights. It had been FAAAAR too long since I did weights. I’m gonna run and do abs today at the gym. My training has me running 4 days a week and with 2 rest days and a cross training day which I think I’m going to like (and my body) more than running 5 days a week.

I went for a physical yesterday and the doctor said I was “The healthiest person he had seen by far in at least a month.” HOLLER. I had to get blood taken from a VEIN – I nearly died, but somehow braved through it. I have my lady doctor appointment this afternoon. I may throw up from nerves.

Tomorrow I am going to a state park and hike with some friends since it’s late November and nearly 70 degrees out!

W has got me under some type of spell, I kid you not. We have put in some SEEEEEERIOUS phone time the past 10 days. We’re meeting halfway for dinner tomorrow and hanging out this weekend. He also may cause me to rearrange my winter break travel plans so I can spend NYE with him in Nashville. WHO AM I??????

I have my 3 mile Turkey Trot on Thursday morning and I plan on making it my BITCH. I was running VERY BRIEFLY at a 7:47 min/mi pace the other day. Game fuckin’ ON.

Love you all. I smile and think of all of you everytime I look at my tattoo – which is ALL THE TIME because it’s so friggin’ awesome. Safe travels for those of you heading home.
