Beautiful day for a 4.5 mile hike with my class yesterday! I can’t believe next week is already our last class!

Great hike with my class in an urban environment today! Embassy row to Dupont Circle!

Timehop reminded me that I put my race bibs up in my old temporary office 2 years ago today. It was a great conversation starter and it filled that giant board.
Here are two other places I’ve previously housed my bibs over the years. Currently they are in a stack in my office, I need to figure out what to do with them – either hang around the top of my office like in the 2nd pic or maybe finally retire them to an album. I have written the date and my time on the back of each bib.
My new kicks FINALLY arrived. Who knew it would take an act of Congress for my running store @runpacers to track down a pair of @hokaoneone Arahi 2 in women’s 11. I literally told the store send me any color I don’t care – which is the usual case especially when stores only generally have 1 pair of women’s 11s. This color combo isn’t bad although I’m not really a purple person.

Lunch break: walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes in this dreary weather.
Week 2 of Urban Hiking. Lovely little 4.75 miler!
Not a bad way to start my morning! I was invited to hike with another group on campus today and it was lovely! I haven’t done a pre-work workout in a whiiiiile!

First Urban Hiking class of the semester! I have the absolute privilege of teaching a Health and Fitness class through the College of Arts & Sciences called Urban Hiking. I taught it in the Spring Semester and it was pretty much my favorite thing ever! It was great to meet my class today and look forward to getting to know them over our 5 Saturdays today – hopefully we’ll have better weather going forward!
Bonus shot out to my friend and former grad student who I recommended to teach the 2nd section the department decided to offer this semester since it’s been so popular!
Took the metro to work today since we’re heading to a Nats game tonight, instead of taking the shuttle to the metro stop, I’m walking the mile!
I did my first back to back Body Combat and Body Pump classes in a whiiile! I burned about 800 calories and felt freaking fantastic.
Actually after the first class I was going to move my mat to a different spot in the room and a woman who walked in was like “oh you can leave it and I’ll take your spot.” To which I replied “I’m actually staying for this class too. She was like “wow, good for you!”

PS – College Football is back and Auburn is my team!
