Tum Tum

Anyone remember Tum Tum from that 90s movie 3 ninjas? I was more of a rocky girl myself.

ANYWAY

My stomach is looking good these days. It’s flatter than it’s been in a loooooong time. It still needs work, but I’m quite pleased. I even see some definition lines which I love. I’m so thrilled to be getting back into the shape I was in last Oct/Nov and April (pre-half marathons are when I’m at my fittest). I’m looking forward to getting even fitter, hitting my goal weight and MARATHON TRAIN. Los Angeles is 5 months from today!

I started doing couch to 5k today. just want you to know because you are my inspiration!

Week 3 Day 1 of couch to 5K today…I’m making progress. Maybe one day I’ll be on the same level as you.

I’m surprised the loss wasn’t bigger, simply due to how hard I worked this week. However my stomach is a NSV. From my boobs to my belly button my stomach looks great. Overall my whole body is feeling more toned and I feel STRONGER.

I need to get back to measurements.

Say What

I lead a diversity/identity activity today at freshmen orientation and we asked students about their top three “identifiers” – how they view themselves. I usually tell the students mine which are being a female, having lost my dad, and that I’m a runner. This week I decided to have the students try and guess what my three were. I got that I was from New York, I like orange, I’m bubbly. Then one guy (who is on the Auburn Baseball team) says you’re athletic. 

A D1 athlete referred to ME, ME as athletic!!!

Every summer we have to order J. Crew shorts for work that we LIVE in. 

3 years ago I was squeezing into 16s

2 years ago I was still squeezing into 16s

Last year I opted for comfortably LOOSE 16s as opposed to snug 14s

Today I went to try on the sample shorts they send to work. I went for the 14s. They were very comfortably loose. I hesitantly reached for the 12s and they fit like a glove. I am ordering 12s for this summer. Just out of curiously I tried on the 10s. They zipped up!! It wasn’t pretty, but gosh darn it I was in them!

I still walk around usually in clothes that are now baggy on me, but I’m trying not to spend too much money on clothes that are just transition clothes. I can’t wait til the day comes when I CAN STOCK UP ON 10s.
