Boobie Report

***This post is geared towards my lady readers….fellas you’ve been warned***

Can we talk boobs for a minute.

…didn’t hear anyone oppose the notion so I will continue…

I blossomed early and quickly if you will, back in my pubescent years. My bosom was ample, but not perky. They were just so heavy and I didn’t really have muscle under my boobs. I always felt like they were weighing me down and nothing my supporting them, but skin. Boob stretch marks are the devil and that skin is so delicate to begin with. I was worried about further boob sagging so I’ve always worn two sports bras and for a loooong time I was scared of running and the impact it would have on my chest.

Funny thing in the past 6 months I have found that my boobs are pretty much the same size as they were (went from 38DD to 36D), but they have gotten MUCH perkier. I do still wear two sports bras for the most part, but they aren’t “working as hard” – (I like to tell my male trainer that to make him blush).

I was curious if anyone else has noticed those kinds of changes with the perkiness of their chest?

End of June Measurements

So last month I took my first set of measurements and here we are one month later, I knew it was going to be a big month and it was.

  • Chest: 36 (0)
  • Waist: 36.5 (-1.5)
  • Hips: 43.5 (-4.5)
  • Upper Thigh: 27 (-1)
  • Above Knee: 17 ¾ (-1.25)
  • Calf: 16.5 (0)
  • Upper Arm: 13 (-2)
  • Mid-Upper Arm: 12 (-1)
  • Neck: 12.5 (-0.5)
  • Wrist: 6 (-0.25)

That’s a loss of 12.75 inches – I counted my upper thigh twice and upper arm twice, but didn’t include the above knee or mid-upper arm measurement in my total. 

Seriously though I woke up one morning and my hips fell off. Really. I looked in the mirror and was like WTF. My bottom half is disappearing…I wish my middle would follow suit and soon!

I needed this, these numbers make me feel great seeing that my scale is the devil. I’m only down about 2.5 pounds for the month, but clearly I’m getting leaner and toner.

Huzzah!

P.S. The 3 miles I did this evening were great, if I have taken my water bottle with me I would have been up for doing a 4th mile. Sometimes it’s just getting your ass out the door….if there’s a will there’s a way.

WIW Rollercoaster

Last week: 199.4 (that was after I was UP 1 pound from the week before)

This week: 197.6

I’m strill frustrated because on Monday I was 197.2. My body loves to rock between numbers for a week or two and then drop, but I haven’t had a 4-5 pound loss in a week since week 1, I don’t know how you guys do it.

Despite the weight not being where I thought it should be, I feel stronger. I can’t wait to do my measurements in July.

Also I think I’ve gotten TALLER? is that possible, that people lose weight and get taller? I had to adjust my shower this morning. Taller is the last thing I need, I need to properly figure this out soon.

Regardless this morning I ran 3 miles in 8am scorching heat in 35:02 min which may be a PR for outdoor running.

I couldn’t resist after 2 days of spectacular runs and my period being over I weighed myself this morning (personally I try not to do it daily for my mental health).

Back to down 198.4 – hoping to knock off at least .6 pounds by Monday which is my massage aka 25 pound loss reward.

I also like on calorie count it shows you your “trend weight” which keeps in account how much your weight fluxuates throughout the day and my trend weight currently is 200.66 – so far I’ve never been heavier than my trend weight – so I hope once the trend weight is down that I never see a “2” before my weight ever again.

Also on this graph it’s funny – I feel like I can also seen the “bumps” in weight most likely due to my period and/or binge drinking and/or both 😛

Reward

Since I’m .8 pounds from having lost 25 pounds (CRAZY!) I booked my massage which was my 25 pound loss reward.

I LOOOOOVE massages and I have been a bit sore lately from my increased running regiment and being on my feet for work so much lately so I am pumped for this reward.

When I lived in Texas there was a massage school in town and massages were like $25 so I went pretty regularly. The spa at home that I LOVE is like $80 so I only do that once in a while. I had a gift certificate to a spa here for a massage and it wasn’t only meh. So I’m trying the massage therapists at the Medical Clinic at the college I work at. My appointment is Monday the 14th and I CANNOT wait!

I have had some serious will power the past 2 days. Usually it’s so hard for me to say NO to bad food when it’s free, but I’ve turned down a lot of stuff…I hope I can keep it up. The decreasing numbers on my scale are a hellava lot more enjoyable than junk food.

I don’t really have “starting measurements” I guess I can get a copy of the log from my trainer at the gym, but I never did measurements in January when this journey truly took off. 

Regardless here’s where I stand today (in inches):

Chest: 36

Hips: 48

Upper Thigh: 28

Above Knee: 19

Calf: 16.5

Upper Arm: 15

Mid-Upper Arm: 13

Neck: 13

Wrist: 6.25

Fun Fact: I usually can easily see weigh loss/gain in my wrists. I have a rubber bracelet that I’ve worn since November that used to be tight now it flop around on my wrist
