How to spot a marathon runner the day after the race from a mile away.
This is me today!
The cool thing about having a blog is that you can go back and see exactly what you were doing a year ago.
365 days ago I made this song about what getting healthy isn’t about.
And in the “oh the difference a year makes” department:
– Tumblarity… Rest in peace 🙁
– Change “marathon” to “Ironman.”
– Definitely faster than John and Wig now.
– The elusive Miss. High never came to fruition, and that’s a good thing.
– I still suck at winking. This is pretty much the most awesomely hilarious song ever. Love this!
I didn’t know something could be freaking AWESOME and extremely PRECIOUS at the same time. Ben you managed to nail both perfectly.
Song: Woman Trouble. Artist: Craig David and Robbie Craig.
Fun song featured in Bridget Jones’s Diary (which my dvr randomly recorded…score). I intend on adding this to some running mixes.
Fun song I saw Perez Hilton just posted. Sassy by Katerina Graham. I will be adding this to some running mixes asap.
Hauntingly beautiful cover of Radiohead’s Creep used in “The Social Network” trailer. It’s crazy how in the trailer it starts with my favorite verse. Here’s the trailer if you haven’t seen it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bzpS239Gas&feature=related
This is my latest jam. I’m sure you have all heard of this song, but in Alabama the radio stations are a bit behind. Regardless this song pumps me up like whoa and I can’t wait to add it to a running playlist.
Song: Bulletproof. Artist: La Roux.
So I’m a huge music snob buff connoisseur and I haven’t really featured too much music on here. I’m going to try and get better about that. I’m also STILL WAITING for you guys to submit your favorite work out song – I’ve only heard from like FIVE of you.
Anyway here is Head Automatica’s “Beating Heart Baby” – It’s been a gym favorite since 2006.
I know a lot of you folks are a bit younger than me, but I hope pray that you guys are familiar with HOT SUNDAE – the “girl group” on Saved By the Bell that drove Jesse to nearly OD on caffeine bills (such a classic all around episode). Well for some reason today at the gym THIS song from that episode popped into my head. I like FOR REAL want to recreate this video (there are a bunch on youtube…so funny).
If you guys haven’t seen this before then enjoy and for the love of God please find this entire episode and watch it stat!
Song: Creep. Artist: Axium (David Cook’s pre-Idol band).
This song has been my soundtrack and motivation since the beginning. These lyrics really speak to me:
I don’t care if it hurts
I wanna have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
