I had a glorious massage. My body has been so good to me that I’m glad I could do something nice for my body. I’m going to try and get massages maybe every 3 months or so instead of just twice a year. After my massage I went out and bought some green tea since a bunch of you have been talking about it’s benefits. So I’m showered and sipping on some iced green tea snuggling with my pup on the couch. I wish all Mondays were this fantastic!

I Wanna Hear From You…Yes YOU
All of you guys have been such a wonderful source of support and inspiration. I’ve been on my weight loss journey since January, but have only been on tumblr with all of you for a month. I feel I’ve made some of the biggest and best changes to myself in this past month and I’d love to have you guys motivate me OFF LINE as well!
I’d like you each to pick your favorite work out song or song in general and reply to this post or message me the song so I can make some new running playlists and think of all as you as I run.
Since today is “Music Monday” I thought it was appropriate to post this today. I’ll give you guys until next Monday to get back to me with a song of your choice. I’ll remind you guys once or twice this week, but seriously I’d love a song from each of you!

I really love having a mapped out 12 week running program. It really helps keep me accountable. I know how much I have to run and that I need to run 5x a week or I will fall behind.
I WAS anxious about when I go “home” to New York for 10 days in late July/August and that my running might take a hit, but my sister (who ran the NYC ½ marathon last summer in place of someone who got injured just a month before the race)Â said she is going to take me running over the Brooklyn Bridge and through Central Park etc. I am SO not a tourist, but those are iconic running locations and I’m really excited to enjoy NYC as a RUNNER for the first time.
Reward Day!
Today after work is my massage I booked 10 days ago for my 25 pound loss reward. At the time I booked it I was down 24.2, but I’m happy to report I am down 25.4 pounds. Looking at 197 is glorious and my “trend weight” is under 200 too!

I had this thought the other day when I was drinking my protein shake in the shower and meant to blog it, but then again today I drank my shake in the shower and knew I needed to share it. I guess you can chalk it up to multi-tasking.
Today’s Agenda
- Late breakfast of greek yogurt, fruit, eggs and coffee
- Tanning poolside and reading the latest Sookie Stackhouse book
- Gym for yoga and a 4 mile run to close out week 2 of half marathon training
- True Blood season 3 premiere at my friend Ashley’s place. I’m totally Team Eric, but I know I’m also gonna jump on the Alcide train too!
Had a GREAT workout at the gym (solid run in my under armour sneakers, you can really feel the difference in support in a new show vs a well worn one) now I’m headed out to the pool for the afternoon to work on my Bronze Goddess status and maybe even swim some laps!

Running Shoe Update
Okay so originally I marked getting Nike+ and the ipod censor as a 35 pound reward. Then I thought I am doing this 10K and really need new sneakers, so maybe I’ll get them now and get the ipod censor when I hit 35 pounds. However yesterday I had trouble finding shoes in my size or that I liked and after looking online I really like the Custom sneakers you can get (I love all the color combos you can do), but they are like $120. I’m willing to spend that money on sneakers, but I want to spend it as a reward when I hit 35 pounds loss. Plus what use is having sneakers that hold a censor chip if I don’t get the censor chip for another 10 pounds.Â
So with that being said I have some Under Armour sneakers I got last month from work that are plain silver/white (I am NOT a plain sneaker kinda gal – I put blue and orange laces in them to spice them up). So yes these Under Armour shoes are not cute, but all the online reviews say they are good running shoes. So I’m gonna wear them as I continue my 10K training and for the 10K.Â
So the plan is late July/early August :::fingers crossed::: I will be down a total of 35 pounds and will get the sneakers then – which coincidentally is when my birthday is and I will have some extra birthday money in my pocket which will soften the blow of $120 sneakers and a $30 ipod censor kit! PLUS I’ll be home (aka my mom’s) in New York around my birthday, so I will have the option of trying on more shoes to make sure they fit right and either get them in store if I find ones I like or go ahead and order custom ones online.Â
