Socks @one-twenty-five

image one-twenty-five replied to your photo: If you don’t own proper running socks – stop what…

Ps I bought proper socks this weekend because of this post 🙂 And they rocked my socks (tehehe, me so funny) off, in this morning’s run.

Yay glad you took the plunge. My poor toes and heels were getting so beat up and I OWED it to my feet!

I also bought a compression fit pair last week that I am trying out tonight.

I also thinks these are awesome looking socks (if I can find quarter length), but haven’t found them locally yet. The toe structure looks really comfy!

Where Art Thou?

I was looking through my list of people I follow and you can see when their last updates were. Some folks I was aware were missing from my dashboard and I miss like TracyTakesOn. I was surprised that there were well over 10 people that haven’t updated in weeks or even a month. I hope you are all well. I’ve sent some of you messages, but I just wanted to say COME BACK, we miss you. Even if you aren’t posting because you “fell off the wagon” just COME BACK…we are here to pick you up and dust you off when you are down.

Consignment fun

So I finally had to consign/sell some of my designer clothes because they were too big. The employees were drooling and like fighting over who gets my clothes! I expect to make bank when it all sells. While I was there I tried on size 12 Calvin Klein shorts and they were a tad too big so I passed on 12s! I also tried on these crop pants in a size 10 and they zipped – now it WASN’T pretty, but they zipped. What?!? I passed since by the time they’ll fit it will be too cold to wear them and by next summer I’m gonna be wearing single digits – which I never thought was possible, but it is in my future!

Sore – YAY

So this morning was the first time in a while that I woke up feeling sore from a workout. It must of been Mr. 365to30’s preachin’ that made me go into beast mode in the weight room. I wish I could remember all the proper names for the things I did (I was too busy usually curing to myself while my former trainer was telling me the names of things).

Regardless I feel sore, but in a good way. I’m headed to go lay out by the pool in a bit (boo yeah living in Alabama where it is still “summer) and I’m going to attempt some laps!

If you don’t own proper running socks – stop what you are doing right now and go out and buy them.

I bought a 3 pack of Nike Dri-Fit Socks for $12 and oh my they were worth every penny. Cushion, arch support, Left/Right specific. Amazing.

**Editors Note: I have the quarter length socks so they stick out a little above the shoe, I don’t like the no show ones, but they are the only one I could get a pic of.

Below is the description from Nike.com:

Power through your regimen in the Nike Dri-FIT Quarter Training Socks, with the cushioned protection, support and sweat-wicking fabric you need for maximum performance.

UGW in 6 months?

I just realized that Tuesday was September 21 – which is 6 months from March 21 which is my “Ultimate Goal Weight Ultimate Goal Date” (try saying that 3 times fast) that I set a little while back.  March 21 is the start of Spring and I want to emerge from my formerly fat cocoon then too!

I am 29.4 pounds from my UGW of 155 pounds. It’s taken me nearly 9 months to lose 38 pounds. It’s certainly possible to do – is it probable I’m not sure given my battle with plateaus. HOWEVER in spite of that I think coupled with triathlon training and full marathon training (I’m hoping to run one in April and then the Dublin marathon next October) that in 6 months time I couldwill be 155 pounds with a BMI of 22. 6 months – that’s nothing (which mades me think of BenDoesLife’s post about what got him started).Â
