Heading out of work in a few minutes. Going home to change and go out for a 7 mile run AFTER WORK ON A MONDAY. Am I crazy? Nah I’m training.

AlphaBITEical
One of my friends JUST started a new blog and I’m quite excited about it!
The premise:
So here is the deal: for 26 weeks, I am going to cook my way through the alphabet starting with the letter “A”. (good thing “X”, “Y”, and “Z” are at the end so that I can do some research… by the way, does anyone know where I can get some zebra steaks?) I love food. I love cooking food, sharing food, thinking about food, and yes I love eating food. It is my hope that you will join me on this journey and challenge here on the blog and hopefully at the dinner table.
After a few posts from @Beckyc talking about her yummy pita pit salads I know I needed to go. I usually have a monthly lunch date with a former student-turned cross campus colleague and today we went to Pita Pit.
After lunch I looked up the nutrition – not bad. I don’t mind the fat count – I’ll take fat from avocados ANY day of the week!
I feel so full and satisfied. Oh and Monday is free drink day – so I got an unsweet tea instead of my go to (and free) water š
Weekend Workouts
This weekend was a great one health-wise.
4 miles on Friday, 3.3 miles Saturday, 3.1 miles and yoga today!
Meanwhile W was here this weekend and I was able to get in workouts and make good food decisions. I ate my variations of food while he ate his, however I did get him to eat spaghetti squash, greek yogurt and baked lays. Small victories!
Now I’m off to improv practice in a bit. Have I mentioned I’m in an improv comedy group? We were really at our prime last year, but everyone’s schedules have been crazy the last few months so practices and shows have been hit or miss. Laughter and being funny is really good for my health too!

4 miles on the treadmill after a grueling 10 hour work day. I will be demanding that W rub my feet as soon as he gets here š
The Coundown is ON like Donkey Kong…
1 month until my third half marathonĀ at theĀ Talladega Superspeedway.
April 3rd will also be exactly 6 months since my first half marathon. Maybe I can find a full marathon in early October – that would be a cool “bookend” – even though we all know it won’t the be the end of racing for meĀ š

5.25 miles in the books and still making all water Wednesday my bitch today!

Seriously I saw this number yesterday and was like kicking the air with excitement and I’m thrilled I saw it this morning too. I F*CKING WORKED for this loss, like I’ve never worked before. I had something to prove to myself and I’m so proud of myself.
It’s beautiful to be back in the 170s and not far off from my LW of this journey (175). I love getting closer and closer to a “healthy” BMI (171). Goal Weight and Ultimate Goal Weight, I got my sight set on you!
Eating Right + Exercise = Weight Loss. It’s as simple as that.
