Seeing the stats from my 5K made me feel better about it. My first mile split was ON FIRE (8:25). My second mile split was solid too (9:41). However my 3rd mile was rough (11:23), but hello look at the elevation on that beast.

This was the first 5K put on by a local running store and I’m disappointed they they picked a HORRID course. It was a 5pm race and even though I hadn’t eatten since Noon my stomach HATED the hills. I REALLY TRULY thought I was a going to puke. I was so pissed by the time I approached the finish line.

On the bright side it was fun to run the race with running friends Kathryn and Becky. We all rocked out skirts and fun outfits – one of store employee’s took a picture of us, I hope they post it online. Kathryn cheered for me at the finish line and then we both cheered for Becky when she crossed.

Regardless of the hill and my time I’m freaking PUMPED for my half marathon next month and I plan on making it my bitch!
