The great moments of your life won’t necessarily be the things you do. They’ll also be the things that happen to you. Now, I’m not saying you can’t take action to affect the outcome of your life. You have to take action. And you will! But never forget, that on any day, you could step out the front door, and your whole life could change forever. You see the Universe has a plan kids; and that plan is always in motion. A butterfly flaps its wings, and it starts to rain. It’s a scary thought, but it’s also kind of wonderful. All these little parts of the machine constantly working… Making sure that you end up exactly where you’re supposed to be…exactly when you’re supposed to be there. The right place. At the right time.

I’m Feelin’ Good
I’ve made some great decisions food, drink and exercise wise since my horrid WIW. I even went to a Christmas Party yesterday and ate something before I left to go so I wasn’t starving and made smart decisions. I even managed to avoid the desserts!
Tomorrow is my friends’ wedding and I get to wear my AWESOME ORANGE DRESS. My awesome orange Anne Klein dress that I got like 70% off in August that was a size 14 and got big enough to the point where I took it to the tailor to get it taken in. I picked up the dress yesterday and I must say. I’m gonna be looking good. I also got a sweet mani/pedi yesterday and am getting my hair blown out tomorrow.
Obviously I am so excited for friends and their wedded bliss, but I am also using tomorrow as a way to dress up and celebrate all of my hard work in 2010. Don’t worry I plan on looking good New Years Eve too, but that’s more about ringing in 2011 as opposed to saying goodbye (and THANK YOU) to 2010.
Look forward to pics from the wedding on Monday!
**Editors Note: Yes, W is joining and will meet anywhere between 50-100 friends/coworkers/students that I know. My students are like DYING they are so nosey. I met his coworkers yesterday at his work Christmas party and I was quite the hit!
Re-Focused
I am headed to spin class tonight then knocking out 6 miles on the treadmill.
However what I am MOST excited for is that I bought Jillian’s 30 Day Shred – it’s getting shipped to my mom’s house, so I will be able to do something besides just running while I’m gym-less.
Annnd I picked up my dress from the tailor for the wedding this weekend. It looks BANGIN’. I do plan on wearing Spanx under it, but I want to look the best I can look. I’m even getting my hair blown out for the wedding that morning. I want to make sure I FEEL as good as I know I will look!
My newest tweep
I started following Hal Higdon this week on twitter. Great. Life. Decision.

PS – I hate the word “tweep” but writing twitter peep seemed redundant 😛
The Auburn Creed
The Auburn Creed is a unifying set of beliefs and principles common to all Auburn students, faculty, and alumni. The creed embodies the spirit of Auburn and is reflected in every member of the Auburn family.
I believe that this is a practical world and that I can count only on what I earn. Therefore I believe in work, hard work.
I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and hands to work skillfully.
I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men.
I believe in a sound mind, in a sound body and a spirit that is not afraid, and in clean sports that develop these qualities.
I believe in obedience to law because it protects the rights of all.
I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men and mutual helpfulness and brings happiness for all.
I believe in my country, because it is a land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by “doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God.”
And because the Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.
~George Petrie (1943)
I bolded the parts that I feel directly relate to the fitblr community and leading a healthy lifestyle in general.
I believe in honesty and truthfulness

I heart this for your honesty and also because I too gained over the past week and was just questioning “how to put it.” We can make it better!
Thank you to everyone who posted your love and support on my last post. This comment hits close to home. HONESTY. It’s so important that we are honest with ourselves. Yeah a gain SUCKSSS, but it happened. I am not perfect or together and I have never had any intention to ever make it seem like I am.
I challenge you all to post about your failures not just your successes. To quote Mr. 365 “This shit ain’t easy.” If it was easy EVERYONE would be healthy and fit. I’ll take the bad with the good, the ups and the downs, but I know I’m going to come out on top at the end of all this.
*The title of this post comes from a line of the Auburn Creed – Which I am going to post in a few minutes because I find it motivating and want to share with all of you!
WIW – Horror Edition
Last Week: 176.8
This Week 180.8
Change: +4
I am SO disappointed in myself. I can’t say I’m shocked by this number, but I am certainly appalled. I’ve been drinking more than I should, making “exceptions” more than I should and not journaling my habits.
Focus. Break even for December. 175.8 is where I started this month and it’s where I’d like to end it too.
How you doin’ (in Joey from Friends voice)
Hi new followers nice to see each and everyone of you!
I’ve spend the past 5 months being an obsessive fitblr, don’t get me wrong I’m still obsessed I’m just not blogging as much. It’s actually really interesting to see the wax and wane of who is blogging and who is not – all for various reasons.
I’m hoping to maintain this month weight wise and then come back in January FULL THROTTLE.
I also need to learn to focus my time and manage it better. Time management has never been one of my strengths. And having a new boyfriend is exciting, but it’s A LOT OF TIME. And it’s time I WANT to give to him, but I can’t give it at the cost of my fitness.
Marathon Training is my #1 priority: LA Marathon 3/20 I’m coming for youuuuu
Followed by LOSING weight: 45+ pounds down and about 20+ pounds still to go
Followed by being a good girlfriend, friend, person, employee, etc.
has anyone ever told you you look like Lean Remini? I was watching the king of queens today and thought so! :)
Why yes I do get that I look like this picture ALL THE TIME.

I WISH. I have never gotten Leah Remini before. I don’t generally get celebrity look alikes. I got Kate Winslet circa Titantic a few times back in the day and once I got Montana from Real World Boston and flipped out in horror. SO in the grand scheme of things I’ll gladly take Leah Remini.
Come to think of it recently my sister said the main girl on Fringe could be my twin, especially our eyes. I sort of see it, her name is Anna Torv I just googled her.
*That was only my second anon message ever!! Exciting, but you don’t have to be shy!
Rocket City Marathon
My friend Kathryn ran her first Marathon this past weekend after losing over 100 pounds in the past 2 years.
Read about it here: http://www.kateo.org/2010/12/rocket-city-marathon-race-report/
I’m so proud of her it’s insane.
