15 miles in 2:44. Half marathon was 2:23. Average mile was 10:59!!
I felt stellar, strong, and unstoppable!

GPOYMT – my medals are one of the first things I see when I get up in the morning and last things I see before I go to sleep. Can’t wait to see my collection continue to grow!
Where has this year GONE?!?!
It’s truly crazy how the older we get the faster time flies. 2011 has been a bumpy year for me, especially considering how badass 2010 was. I didn’t meet as many goals as I could have liked in terms of the scale, mileage, a new job etc. However I am determined to end 2011 on a good note.
I’d like to note that I reworded these goals and eliminated words like “hope” or “would like to.” I thought action words or more firm words would set a better tone.
I just registered for the LA Marathon!
I knew I was going to do it, but I pulled the trigger on it early.
166 days. Holy shit.
Los Angeles is ON.
When I register (in November due to lack of funds currently) I’m going to join David Cook’s Team. Dave is my hero, it’s so fangirl, but I don’t care. He’s had such an impact on my life.
Being a fan of him as a contestant on Idol kept me sane in the months after my dad died – seeing him on Idol was the only thing I looked forward to at the time. Dave also got me running. I first started running to join him in a Cancer Fundraiser 5K in May 2010.
I think running my first marathon with him and for his cause is only fitting.
This is the face of a chick who got her I heart sweat shirt yesterday
AND
The face of a chick who FINISHED LEVEL 3 OF SHRED. I did 30 day shred in 33 days. Can’t wait to see the scale and measurements tomorrow.
Oh and I’m excited to tell you tomorrow about the running clinic I went to tonight.
I just booked a hotel room for the Los Angeles Marathon in March. My hope and plan is to run it. I just hope that life doesn’t get in the way of that happening.
Even though I haven’t registered for the race (and prob won’t until late November) this means shit just got real.
With my Nov 12th half marathon booked that gives me 10 weeks for formal training plans. I turned to my handy dandy google documents and mapped out my 10 week plan (modfied from Hal Higdon’s Novice 2 plan).
The week following my half I will kick off 18 weeks of Marathon Training (which I also mapped out on a google doc) in preparation for the Los Angeles Marathon on March 18th. I’ve wanted to run a marathon for nearly a year. I can’t let life uncertainties or job uncertainties get in the way.
Training will keep me grounded, focused and positive. I need all those things in my life right now.
Weight loss really is a LIFE LONG commitment – it doesn’t care how hard or how long you worked in the past. It’s all about the PRESENT. Mileage is the same brand of fickle bitch – if you don’t keep it up it goes away.
I shared this commit in regards to Levi’s recent post, but it’s so true I wanted it to be here for everyone.
