GPOYW -NYEWTBE (New Year’s Eve with the boy edition)

Since I KNOW some (if not all) of you missed my face clogging up your dashboard I just wanted to share a New Years Eve pic with everyone. One of W’s friends took a picture of my whole cute outfit, I’m waiting for her to email it to me and then I’ll share it too (My top was a long tunic/short dress and I wore leggings with sparkly wedges)!

Despite feeling horrid yesterday I pulled myself together after sleeping all day to go the University President’s Christmas Party. I was invited as a guest AND there was an open bar. I HAD to go. I figured if I dressed up then I could trick myself into feeling better. It sort of worked!

I must say I don’t even recognize myself in this picture. I’m like who is that skinny  thin healthy looking girl?

*I’m on the left. I’m too lazy to black out my friend M’s face (she’s also lost 40+ pounds this year. she did it on WW, we are badasses)

**Please ignore the terrible cell phone quality camera

***Also please ignore the horrid name tags they make us wear at events at the President’s House – they don’t want party crashers, they have legit on-duty cops at events

For once I don’t have much to tumblr about. Life is grand all around. Well maybe minus the dangerous christmas parties with treats galore.

Here’s a picture of me last night at a christmas party my office threw for all our former orientation leaders. I brought a veggie tray and pita chips with hummus, but I indulged a bit too.

Next week I’m going to the President of the University’s christmas party as the guest of a colleague across campus who was invited. Apparently the food is top notch and there is an open bar!

Then in 2 weeks I’m going to W’s work Christmas party…eek! He’s meeting a few friends this weekend when he comes to watch Auburn win the SEC championship game. Did I mention he’s an Alabama fan – that’s his only flaw thus far!

War Damn Iron Bowl!

If you like college football AT ALL I suggest watching the Auburn vs. Alabama game today at 2:30pm EST on CBS.

The defending national champs (Alabama) take on my Auburn Tigers (and hopeful national champions).

I’m headed fully decked out in orange: shirt, belt, bra, underwear, nails, earring, eyeshadow and glitter eyeliner – to watch the game downtown!

Should be a fantastic game 🙂

Halloween 2011

imagetheroadtoslimcity replied to your photoset: Apparently I didn’t take too many pictures this…

#1) next year, I’m coming with you. Its not an option, I’ll just be there on your doorstep on Halloween, k? great. #2) I want that dress. with the belt. now. thanks. 3) You look freakin fantastic!!!!

Ummm, YES and YES to #1.

#2. Got the dress and belt (and shoes) at the consignment store that I’m obsessed with. Dress was like $12, belt was like $5 and shoes were $6. The most expensive part of my outfit was my makeup and eyelashes!

#3. Thanks love!

I actually am having a Halloween 2011 dilemma. The Dublin Marathon is next Halloween, HOWEVER an annual work conference (which I leave for on Friday that’s in St. Louis) will be in NEW ORLEANS OVER HALLOWEEN next year! NOLA was so crazy and I really want to rip it up next year for real. PLUS work would be paying for the hotel. Perhaps Dublin 2012 since I’m 100% gonna run a full marathon in March – training starts soon (but I’ll post on that later).

Apparently I didn’t take too many pictures this weekend. Luckily my friend Melissa who is a photogragher for the university took a TON, but she hasn’t uploaded them yet.

Here are some of my Ikea Wonderland drag queen pics (for my new followers – hi! Please don’t be scared. Despite being a girl, I wanted to have fun with makeup).  How FREAKIN fabulous and fierce am I? I could have gone even more overboard. It’s funny how when you’re home you’re like OMG this is too much and then you go out and you’re like damn I could have amped it up even more. Regardless I had so much fun playing dress up. I really may do my eye makeup like this for New Years!

Funny thing about Saturday night. I only had ONE drink. So even though I captioned the last picture “I got Bourbon-faced on Shit Street” I did not. PLENTY of people did. I was just so damn tired from my race that I was afraid alcohol was going to either put me to sleep or put me in a bad mood. Plus after running 13.1 miles I really didn’t want to drink empty calories (who am I?). It’s interesting how alcohol has quickly become less and less important to me these days. Maybe it’s because I have enough confidence to be fun without it, plus exercise endorphins are my favorite drug these days 😛
