I also wanted to personally say thank you. The semester hasn’t ended yet, but being in this position has just been a wonderful experience for me. I feel I am growing and capitalizing on numerous skills, with the main one being public speaking. I know I am not the best public speaker, often times getting tongue twisted, but the more I’ve been leading, the more comfortable I have become. (One day I hope to be as great as you haha!)

Every time I mention to someone, I’m working with you on campus they always speak to how great you are at what you do, and it’s true you do a phenomenal job with the faculty. I just would like to say it is a true honor working along side you as someone I admire professionally and personally; I only look forward to more great things to come.

Getting emails like these from a student make all the craziness of my job well worth it!

I saw both of these on a friend’s blog and had to share. I love productive Sundays. It’s a great Sunday when I get enough sleep, go to church, get a good run in, go grocery shopping, do some meal prep and relax.

This week at work the students at my University are on Spring Break so that means I don’t have 10,000 meetings and can get stuff done. If I use this week right then I’ll set myself up well for the next few weeks. FOCUS!

SANDIEGO SANDIEGO SANDIEGO

Despite the impending DC snowstorm tonight, I’m going to run my 5 mile pub run today that one of the running stores is doing that ends at the World of Beer. If fromthebackofthepack can run in these cray cray temps so can I.

The beer will be good motivation. That and the fact that I’ll be in San Diego on Friday for 5 days, where I have two 3milers and one 10miler planned. So when I’m freezing my ass off tonight I will just keep repeating “SANDIEGO” to myself or perhaps even screaming it out loud!

Pictures from last night’s Faculty-Student Basketball Game

In the big group picture I stood next to 2 of the tallest guys and they were like want us to life you up? And I was like OKAY (but my inner fat girl was scared). So they lifted me up and I after a few pictures I was like sorry I’m so heavy and they were like PLEASE. I wish there were most strapping 20 year olds willing to carry me around because I felt like a tiny princess!

TLC

I’m getting a MUCH needed massage after work today!

Today is also my beloved supervisee’s first day back after maternity leave – she is truly my right hand and I’m so happy to have her back.

I hope I can begin to relax and my stress levels can lower.
