I had a work event until 7:30pm and only worked out twice this week, so at 8pm on a Friday I was at the gym pounding out 3.1 miles on the treadmill and then came home to do Level 1 Day 2 of Shred.
I feel great. I feel like ME again.

So I reordered Garmin from Amazon last week, it was delivered today, except I wasn’t there to sign for it. So I have to go to the post office tomorrow and get it. I just want this bad boy strapped to my wrist already. I’m hoping and praying my new one doesn’t have any defects.
I also have my eye on a half marathon in November, but more on that next week…
GPOYFF – Flirty Friday Edition
I love orange and I love this dress that my sister gave me for my birthday. Out of the 17 dresses I own 5 are orange or predominately orange.
Note: Check out that form in the behind the back picture. That’s talent!
Today was a day of FIRSTS!
First real outdoor run in months (a hot and sweaty 2 miles).
First day of the first level of shred (which i just took out of the plastic despite buying it in December).
I feel great!
Last week: 194.4
This week: 190.4
Change: -4
Good to see this summer pounds falling off. I just got back to eating right and working out for an hour 4x a week.
Here’s hoping I keep up a good momentum!
Its 82 degrees out – so I’m going to the track for the first time in months! I’m a happy lady!
Amazon has received my return and is processing my refund which should go back on my debit card in the next few days. The question is do I buy ANOTHER Garmin from Amazon. They had the best price. Yes the item was defective, but it was a fluke right? I’ve never has issues with Amazon before now. Or do I go with a different outlet to buy the watch. Buying it from Garmin itself is like $40 more expensive, then there is like buy.com and some other tech places.
I’m asking, what would you do?
Thanks to my always fabulous and inspirational IRL friend and blogger Kathryn I found the McMillan Running Calculator. I’ve only just played around on it for a few minutes, but it gives you FREE DETAILED RUNNING PLANS based on a goal race time. I still have my eye on the LA Marathon in March and perhaps two halfs in November and January.
It’s only been 3 days, but my return to eating clean has been great. No garbage, just healthy, nutritious food! I FEEL so much better – which is key.
I’m also so happy to be back to the gym and I can’t wait for it to cool down enough to run outside. The town I live in has added MILES of sidewalks in town (mainly due to one of the college’s dean’s who got hit by a car while running back in November) which will give me more options and routes to take!
I’m hoping to hit up a farmer’s market today after work!
I went to Pita Pit with a friend for lunch and opted for a healthy and hearty salad with chicken and got a water. However, apparently Wednesday is “Free Cookie Day.” Damn you temptation, how easy it would have been to eat you. Instead I gave my cookie to my lunch date to give to her husband/coworker.
Bye, bye excess sweets.
Ta, ta soda.
I don’t miss them when their 100% gone, but it’s having some here and there that make me long for more.
