After a series of ups and downs lately about a number of things, I’ve decided to try and CONTROL the things I can ACTUALLY control. Yes exercise and what I eat are at the top of the list, but my finances has always been on the list, but I don’t do well with it.I’m trying to cut back on expenses so I can take more chunks out of my debt.
Today I “downgraded” my gym membership. I’ve been a member for 3+ years and have been paying $49.99 a month. Well they are running a special for $19.99 a month and I was able to opt into that. The only thing chaning about my membership is the price. $30 a month in my pocket. WINNING
I am also planning on calling my cable/internet company to see if I can get a “back to school” deal – I’ve done that the past 2 years. The deals are usually good for 6-9 months than the price increases. With the special I am looking at I could be saving $37 a month.
Next month I am going to “freeze” my netflix, which I have done before. I also plan on trying to sell more of my old clothes to my favorite consignment shop.
Got other money saving tips? send them my way!
