Solid day at work – we hiked Old Rag in Shenandoah to scout for a trip we’re taking students on later this summer.
Month: July 2014
After a fantastic long weekend in North Carolina visiting 2 dear friends – one in Raleigh and one in Charlotte, I must admit I was eager to be home and see T. We both were traveling this weekend so we had some mega phone time while driving.
I got to see T last night and my goodness this man is sweeping me off my feet…
Tri suit came and it fits! Thankfully it fits because it was final sale. $142 retail and I got it for $60!
I feel pretty legit in it, excited to break it in after work today!
Try to ignore all the stank faces 😛
Wrapping up my eating tour on NC with a fantastic brunch (at Terrace Cafe of Ballantyne)

Marathon Legs
I’m starting my long 4th of July weekend with a 12 mile bike ride and a bodypump video, before heading down to Raleigh and Charlotte for the weekend.
I may only be running 1-2 a week right now, but as of this week and very intensely today I feel like my “marathon legs” are back!
When you train hard your muscles respond. My tri training and other crosstraining has been going strong for ~6weeks now and I can FEEL my muscles gripping to my body, especially my legs. I remember in the weeks before the LA marathon just feeling like solid muscle, I felt so alive. I was hyper aware if every moment of my muscles and this feeling is back.
I’m really enjoying the daily change up of workouts, I don’t feel burnt out and I’m working different parts of my body (and mind) each day.
Just bought $100 worth of triathlon gear and training supplies on swimoutlet.com – should be here Monday!
