Me
lol so true.
Yes!
Ooooooooooh I’m half way there… Just completed run 36/71 of marathon training. I wish I felt more marathon “ready” but I have 35 runs to get my toes to the start line in Dublin
It’s moving week AKA easy prepped meals!
I’m an auntie! Meet Parker, “daughter” of my bestie Sara Jessica…
Runners: Are you looking for a destination race and an excuse to travel to a warm climate? Join my relay team and race with us next February in Florida.
This is my third relay and I would describe the vibe as “summer camp, except there is amazing running/ sightseeing and you’re in a car more.” Two years ago we had a van that was 5/6th Tumblr and it was so, so much fun.
The team will be racing 200 miles; you’ll be responsible for 12-19 of those (depending on what you feel like you can prepare for).
Message me if you’re interested! And if you know
Boost!
This is also my 3rd Ragnar and I’m excited to back on a team with 94monkeys again! Join us!!
T thinks he found an apt too and it’s a mile from my current apt, so that means I don’t have to completely say goodbye to Old Town Alexandria/Mt Vernon Trail/Wilson Bridge/Metro accessibility etc!!
Note: yes it’s crazy that we both are individually moving basically a week apart, but we also discussed at length wanting to be engaged before living with someone. Although he’ll be living alone so I have a feeling I’ll be there most weekends!
This week: 199.8
2 weeks ago: 201.8
Change: -2
Ok we’re moving in the right direction. I need to get this extra weight off that’s slowing me down.
Weeks like this make me wish I was a farmer or worked with the interwebs or SOMETHING that wasn’t living and breathing people who exist at times just to make my life harder.

Got in 7 morning miles in 99% humidity. I’m soaked. I’m currently posting this while naked in my bathroom drinking Powerade zero trying to cool down before getting in the shower (your welcome for the visual). In an effort to keep pushing myself I decided to go back to my old standby running technique of taking a 1 min walking break after each mile or when taking a Gu. I was pleased that despite feeling the push, I powered through pretty well. My pace was great and averaged a 12:26 pace (really I was faster, but my last mile slowed me down). Let’s see if I get keep clipping time off my pace!
The apartment struggle can be real yo.
Especially when you have a dog, don’t want a long term lease, and currently have the deal of the century in terms of price (and location) and would prefer to keep it that way.
After 30+ Craigslist inquires (and only about 10 responses), stalking sublet.com, rent.com etc. I looked at 4 places last week/over the weekend. Of course none of them were perfect, but in an effort to have peace of mind and not gamble a great option for a “perfect” option. I put a deposit down.
So as of 8/28 it will be goodbye Alexandria, hello Baileys Crossroads/Falls Church.
I will be SUPER close to the W&OD trail which I’m most excited about. I’m also very close to REI, Trader Joes, Dunkin Donuts, TJMaxx/Marshalls/Home Goods. So really that’s all that matters in life.
It’s a townhouse with housemates, but my room is HUGE (enough for a bedroom and a sitting room). Gorgeous private bath, 2 closets (1 is a walk in), and hardwood floors. And the best part is that it’s a month to month lease – which gives me peace of mind for WHEN a California job works out and/or IF I get engaged in the next few months…
