Fail

I’m working orientation this week and I ate a whole piece of pie that we had at dinner – usually I just take a bit of someone else’s, but I thought I could only eat half. I knew it was a bad idea as I was doing it, but didn’t care. Now I feel gross.

WIW Rollercoaster

Last week: 199.4 (that was after I was UP 1 pound from the week before)

This week: 197.6

I’m strill frustrated because on Monday I was 197.2. My body loves to rock between numbers for a week or two and then drop, but I haven’t had a 4-5 pound loss in a week since week 1, I don’t know how you guys do it.

Despite the weight not being where I thought it should be, I feel stronger. I can’t wait to do my measurements in July.

Also I think I’ve gotten TALLER? is that possible, that people lose weight and get taller? I had to adjust my shower this morning. Taller is the last thing I need, I need to properly figure this out soon.

Regardless this morning I ran 3 miles in 8am scorching heat in 35:02 min which may be a PR for outdoor running.

I know a lot of you folks are a bit younger than me, but I hope pray that you guys are familiar with HOT SUNDAE – the “girl group” on Saved By the Bell that drove Jesse to nearly OD on caffeine bills (such a classic all around episode). Well for some reason today at the gym THIS song from that episode popped into my head. I like FOR REAL want to recreate this video (there are a bunch on youtube…so funny).

Soaked

Wow what a work out. I planned on doing 3 miles on the treadmill before I met with my trainer. I had a tshirt for my trainer and I had always wanted to run while covering the screen so I wouldn’t obsess over time/miles etc, so I figured use the shirt to cover the screen. Well let me tell you I knew when I hit 1 mile and then I was like let’s keep going until I really need a water break and knocked out another mile in a total of 21:32. I was hauling ass and I thought to myself maybe I should run 4 miles today and 3 miles tomorrow (which I am going to do at 8 am since I don’t have to be at work until 10 am and I want to start running in the type of heat it will be when I do my 10K. I was nervous about doing the 4 miles and running later in the morning than my usual 6:15 am). So I decided to knock out the other two miles. So I ended up doing my 4 miles in 41:56. WHAT?!?! Who am I? I’m a beast. I think the trick was covering the screen. I may start bringing a towel or something to cover up the screen when I run from now on, plus it makes it a bit more like a real run outdoors because I can’t obsess over time and mileage then.

Then post run I worked abs and back with my trainer. I was SO sweaty – it was gross and great at the same time. I like need a sweat band or goggles or something, I hate when I get sweat in my eye and it BURNS LIKE A MOTHER. He kicked my ass, but I pushed through and feel stronger for it.

Boy Crazy

I haven’t mentioned it on here, but I am big fan of rocker type guys. Tattoos, musical, wear jewelry, artsy, etc. Well I also have come to realize there is another type of guy that has really piqued my interest. Athletic/outdoorsy. I have really enjoyed being more active and I was looking a listing of fitness activities and there are so many I’d like to try:

Kayaking
Kickboxing
Golf
Handball
Mountain Biking
Paintball
Paragliding
Snowmobiling
Rowing
Adventure Racing
Snorkeling
Whitewater Rafting

I really don’t have a lot of friends that do stuff like this and how fun would those things be to do on a date with a boy who does that stuff. I’m extremely adventurous and competitive; I’d be totally game!

I was telling my friend Christina who lives in Idaho all of this and she says: “Seriously, why don’t you live here. NW boys are all about that hybrid. it’s hot.”

I mean come ON how hot would like kayaking be with a dude with tattoo sleeves and a lip ring that is also singing to you a song as he paddles! So if you know anyone who fits the bill of rocker/outdoorsy hybrid send them my way…

Heaven

I had a glorious massage. My body has been so good to me that I’m glad I could do something nice for my body. I’m going to try and get massages maybe every 3 months or so instead of just twice a year. After my massage I went out and bought some green tea since a bunch of you have been talking about it’s benefits. So I’m showered and sipping on some iced green tea snuggling with my pup on the couch. I wish all Mondays were this fantastic!

All of you guys have been such a wonderful source of support and inspiration. I’ve been on my weight loss journey since January, but have only been on tumblr with all of you for a month. I feel I’ve made some of the biggest and best changes to myself in this past month and I’d love to have you guys motivate me OFF LINE as well!

I’d like you each to pick your favorite work out song or song in general and reply to this post or message me the song so I can make some new running playlists and think of all as you as I run.

Since today is “Music Monday” I thought it was appropriate to post this today. I’ll give you guys until next Monday to get back to me with a song of your choice. I’ll remind you guys once or twice this week, but seriously I’d love a song from each of you!

I will post the track list next week for you all to enjoy as well. Maybe I’ll be as talented as @lbs and make it a file for you to download.
