Finally went to get my size 8 engagement ring sized down. We’re sizing it down to a 6.5!!!

The 8 was always a touch big. I had gotten sized (a year before we actually got engaged) when I was ~205 lbs. The jeweler recommended a size 7 ¾, but I was worried about it being to tight so I casually informed my then boyfriend that if he were to ever want to buy me a ring I was a size 8.

6.5 that number feels so dainty! Nothing about me is dainty. I’m 5’9.5” and wear size 10 shoes. I’ll likely not get smaller than a size 8 bottom, so a 6.5 ring size is something to celebrate!

I went to a #weightwatchers store meeting today since I’m off and was going to miss my at work meeting. I’ve only been to one other store meeting back when I first started. It’s a nice change of pace, I appreciated learning stories from a new group of folks.
Oh and I’m down -1.2 lbs this week!!

Shout out to Wolf Trap (the ONLY National Park for the performing arts venue that is amazing and only like 10 min from me) for featuring this in their newsletter.

I’ve always been okay with going to concerts or even more so live theatre alone. I rather go alone and fully focus on enjoying it as opposed to dragging someone and “worry” about if they are enjoying themselves. The best option however is having friends who like the same live music/theatre that you do, so you both get to fangirl out and enjoy it! Honestly, I’m ALWAYS down for a live show of any kind and happy to join anyone who really wants to catch a show, but isn’t quite up for going stag!

I was getting dressed this morning and was pleased with what I saw in the mirror while in my skivvies!
My #weightlossjourney unsurprisingly has been a series of ups and downs. These aren’t from my highest, but rather a few months into other “restart” efforts (probably when I was feeling more confident to take pictures like this to begin with).
The pics on the top left are from early May 2013, top right from late April 2017 and the bottom pictures from this morning.
My belly will always be a problem area, but I’m getting there. The real progress is what I see in my arms and legs!
*?? people I know IRL who I recently shared this with, let’s agree not talk about me posting pics in my underwear on the internet haha

Despite the gross rainy weather I put on a sports bra (such a struggle after being bra-less all day amiright ladies), gym clothes and drove myself to the gym for a dreadmill 5K jog.
I was really hoping to walk with Fred outside, but I made my goal happen regardless and I’m pleased that I did. I’ve never regretted a workout!

We’ll been in our house 2 years in August and I finally hung my race medals up. I was dealing with a heel injury when we moved here and I wasn’t feeling much like a runner so I didn’t have the motivation to put them up.
Back in 2010 running was my gateway into weight loss and fitness. However repeated heel and foot issues made me realize running is not worth jeopardizing my future physical health and abilities.
I wasn’t sure how to lose/maintain weight loss without running for a long while.
I think I finally properly mourned the end of my major running days with this go-round renewed fitness and weight loss effort. I’m ready to celebrate my previous accomplishments including 3 full marathons!
