5 mile run and level 3 day 2 of shred made me want to both die and kill someone.
However it’s over. I survived. I’m exhausted, but I feel good.

Yesterday was day one of level 3. OMG I loved it. Don’t get me wrong I was sweating like a mofo, but I was up for the challenge it brought. I’m excited for day 2 which I’ll be doing later this morning after a 5 miler. I need to get out the door before it gets too hot.
I also peeked at the scale (naughty I know), but I was QUITE pleased with what I saw!
Just finished level 2 of shred. I’m watching level 3 to prepare myself for tomorrow! Also knocked out another delicious 3 miles around campus today.
Knocked out 3 miles tonight. It’s been in the 60s all day with very little humidity. I ran 3 miles in 31:30 – that’s a 10:30 min/mi pace. It’s not my fastest run ever, but considering I’ve been doing 12:00-12:30 min/mi pace lately with all this humidity I’m thrilled. Today I felt like the badass half-marathoner that I am, for the first time in months.
Then to top it off I did Shred Level 2 Day 9.
With my Nov 12th half marathon booked that gives me 10 weeks for formal training plans. I turned to my handy dandy google documents and mapped out my 10 week plan (modfied from Hal Higdon’s Novice 2 plan).
The week following my half I will kick off 18 weeks of Marathon Training (which I also mapped out on a google doc) in preparation for the Los Angeles Marathon on March 18th. I’ve wanted to run a marathon for nearly a year. I can’t let life uncertainties or job uncertainties get in the way.
Training will keep me grounded, focused and positive. I need all those things in my life right now.
Signed up for my next half marathon. November 12th. I’m coming for you…
I’m wearing running clothes under my church clothes complete with sneakers and my garmin. Plan to get a quick 3-4 miles in and shred before some afternoon plans
Today after shred I planned to go out on a 3 mile run without music. I got less than a quarter mile in when a truck drove right next to me and some stupid frat daddy or something SCREAMS like bloody murder at me. It scared the bejeezus out of me. It was unnecessary, loud, and right in my ear. I was so shaken I couldn’t get my rhythm and turned back home.
Does doing jumping jacks make anyone else have to fart? or it is just me? #shred
After a few hours sweating at the pool, then the hardest/sweatest yoga class ever AND Shred day 1 of level 2… I am on the couch and will sleep like a baby tonight!
