A New Type of Runners High

My best friend called with such a great random little story that I wanted to share.

Her boyfriend (who I only met once this summer) was apparently facebook stalking my pictures today and commented on how great I looked and that he’s gonna take up running if running means I got my body to where it is from where it was.

I thought it was such a cute comment and huge compliment!

I’m may jump on the the bandwagon of some horrid “candid before pics” and the progression of pictures.

Wise Words

“we limit ourselves by what we think we’re capable of"

"we stand in our own way”

“why not have it all”

These were quotes from an OUTSTANDING student we interviewed yesterday. She is a woman in aerospace engineering AND in a sorority living a well rounded life. All my students inspire and humble me, but this girl takes the cake.

Life as lion is doing something crazy and then when people ask you why you’re doing it, you ask them why they’re not doing it.

As TheFlightRisk pointed out – this too was my favorite quote from Mr. 365

Superfansticredible

E of One-Twenty-Five

Sadly, there are no words yet invented, that could describe the feeling of pure joy that encompassed my body when I stepped across that finish line. Hence, I’ll create one.  Crossing the finish line was superfansticredible. My whole body was engulfed by this pure, one hundred percent real emotion of success. In that moment I wasn’t defined by anything, but the applause of the screaming fans.

God I can’t wait to one day run a marathon and feel superfansticredible

Texts From a Former Student

Student: Question. When did you start running? I’m on day seven ahaha and I need inspiration.
Me: In January – I hated running until like late March. don’t give up – push through!
Me: The weather now is perfect. Are you running outside, inside, on a track?
Student: I’ve been running outside. More to look at. And I really like running in the evening but thats not gonna work today.
Me: Yeah I prefer running outdoors. You should find a 5K in nov/dec and sign up for it. Having a race will help keep you motivated!
Student: Ah so true! thanks! I’ll let you know how this goes haha
Me: Keep me posted – I’m here to cheer you on 🙂

*Note – If you would have told me a year ago I’d be getting asked for running inspiration I would have though you were crazy, but this is my life. This student isn’t the first one either. It’s just funny because she worked for me in Summer 09 and randomly texted me today out of the blue.
