I’m feeling really inspired and hopeful.

Reconnected with a good source of encouragement last night and did a lot of reflecting. Came into work today to see a gchat I missed on Friday that had a link of inspirational thoughts included these two.

I feel like things and life are finally starting to make sense again.

I also faced my fears and got on the scale 186.6 – up 2 pounds, which is fine after nearly a 2 week hiatus from working out. Back at it tonight.

Team GRIND at Tough Mudder Gunstock Mountain

If you have a few minutes watch this video of a few phenomenal men and women that I went to college with. Tim Morris was in a near fatal car accident in 2007 leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. Tim has fought tooth and nail to take back control of this body. Tim and a bunch of guys I have the pleasure of knowing took on Tough Mudder 2 weeks ago and made a human ladder to get Tim up the wall. Amazing video – I just had to share it.

Race for Hope Weekend!

Sunday will be my 4th Race for Hope 5k. This race means so much to me on so many levels.

This year my sister will be in town to run it with me which should be special for us – especially since the last time we ran together was the Marine Corps Marathon.

Tomorrow I’m going to a team lunch with David Cook. We’ll be a MUCH bigger group than for the Los Angeles Marathon, but I’m excited none the less. He’s a hero in my life and someone that I really admire…and if he decided to fall in love with me I wouldn’t be against that either.

If you’d like to donate to ABC2 (Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure) who sponsors the Race For Hope I’d appreciate it!
