Tried on my first pair of skinny jeans ever, size 12. I didn’t buy them since summer is coming, but may pick up a pair this fall!
Here’s a little #transformationtuesday for ya. It’s been a series of ups and downs the past 2 years in particular.
Nov 2016 is the top left, but then as you’ll see in next set I dropped some weight, put it on, dropped again before putting some of it back. The other 3 pics are from Dec 2017 in this first set.
The 2nd set of pics are in order from June 2016 in the top left to 3 from spring of 2017. The pic of me in shorts was Oct 2017 which soon after I fell off the #weightwatchers wagon masterfully. However the bottom right picture is from today.
The journey to success is far from linear with all things, but especially weight loss for me! Yet I feel this go-round is different, something in me has changed since the start of 2018 and I’m excited to see where things can go from here!
Talk about a Transformation Tuesday.
I made this collage for a new Weight Watchers facebook group I’m in and thought I’d share it here too.
I started my journey (and tumblr) in Jan 2010 and lost close to 50 pounds by early 2012. In Mar 2012 I ran the Los Angeles Marathon right before moving from AL to DC.
My new work and life transition halted my progress and I had some gains, but in 2014 I recommitted and did my first two spirit triathlons and got down to about 10 pounds from my lowest weight. However, of course, I began a relationship in summer 2014 (that led to an engagement in 2017, wedding likely in 2019) which stalled my efforts again. A new job and buying a house in summer 2016 coupled together put weight back on. I joined WW in Feb 2017 and had some good results, until some external stresses derailed me, however as of the New Year I’ve been focused.
The pics in the left are from late 2009 and the pics on the right are from early 2012. The one in the middle is me last month. I’m currently 8 pounds from my lowest weight and 2 pounds from a new “decade” on the scale.
Hey, can we make Toot Your Own Horn Tuesdays? It really rolls off the tongue.
Come on, guys. Toot your own horns! Let’s see what you’re working with!
Ya girl is quick to toot her own horn!
This is a great idea – share you success!!
Holly crap – you both are awesome! Can I join in on this?
Wow, awesome work everyone. This is me now.
I love this!! You guys rock!! Here is me.
Join the progress train – we have snacks! 🙂
I don’t have a ton of pics of my highest weight, because I refused to take anything but selfies the majority of the time. Sometimes it’s hard remember how far I’ve really come!
Here’s mine.
Amazing what insight, perspective and hard work can do.
That photo of me in the purple shirt is from Thanksgiving Eve 2009, I remember seeing that picture was the last straw. I also remember I had to wear stretchy pants because I couldn’t fit in any of my jeans.
Yikes put up this #TBT on insta in honor of Adam Pascal who I’ve seen now in 5 shows (Aida, Cabaret, Rent, Memphis, & Something Rotten). This is almost exactly 10 years ago and I’m pretty sure like 50 pounds ago. It’s crazy to think so many people in my life never knew “this” me.
God, I love changing it up ??
Today’s the day ?? hair
A fun look back from TimeHop
Who wore it better me (about 40 heavier) in 2008 or T over the weekend?
So my instagram photo sets from yesterday didn’t post all the pics. Here is the full kitchen before and after.
