I have a flight to New York tomorrow evening, please blow Tropical Storm Nicole far out into the ocean. I need a break from Alabama, I need to see my friends, and I need to be on Long Island for my race on Sunday!

Just booked my flight and registered for my half marathon on 10/3/10
OMG – shit just got real!!!
10 days and 2,400 miles later I’m back home.
Lots to catch up on this week in the tumblr world.
Excited to get back to my eating and exercise routines.
Anxious to get on the scale tomorrow AM to check out the “damage”
xoxo
Just got in from my 9 mile run that I did in 1:56:47 – WHAT!? And I did this run at like noon. Never would have happened in Alabama. The weather was lovely and breezy – I barely broke a sweat! I may change up my training and get my 10 mile run in before I leave next week.
Off to NYC this evening for some birthday shenanigans!
Just wanted to let you all know I made it Long Island safe and sound this afternoon. Everyone who I have seen thus far can’t get over how much weight I’ve lost. I feel great and am pumped about my vacation!
Why yes this is how I spent the past hour or so.
I’m NEVER this organized except when I go home because there is so much to do, so many people to see, etc that I need to know my schedule. There is PLENTY of things yet to be determined, but these are the major planned things…INCLUDING RUNS. Some run times are subject to change, but I will be running those amounts on those days. Still working out the specifics of my Central Park and Williamsburg Bridge run with my sister – that may be Wednesday/Thursday afternoon. And now my sister is mentioning a hash trail where you run to bars on a route…interesting.
So basically…is it tomorrow yet?!?! Not on the calendar is my pre-work (I’m only coming in for a few hours) run tomorrow. Since I’ll be sitting in a car for 6 hours 3 days I think the endorphins will do me good!
It’s 11pm I’m headed to bed after a successful day of water drinking and eating well. I did have 1 glass of wine, but it was free and I turned down like 20 other glasses of wine today (of course the ONE day I’m not drinking is when Nashville wants to like give wine away).
10K tomorrow morning 7am CST. I’m stoked.
Wish me luck!
xoxo
I’m in Nashville y’all (ok I didn’t say y’all, nor would I….I’m a stubborn Yankee in the dirrrrty south).
Lots to do this trip so excited, my friend Star did all the planning and it’s gonna be redonk. I’m most excited about watching fireworks from the roof of the Country Music Hall of Fame (a friend works there and it HOOKING US UP). Seriously this is going to be such a great weekend…I’m glad to be able to recharge my “social life” batteries and DOMINATE this 10K.
I did want to share my 10K playlist with you guys:
As you can see I have a David Cook addiction (Axium is his old band). Creep is my anthem so I needed it on there twice. It took me forever to figure out a order, but I was thinking about what songs I’ll need to pump me up at certain points. I’m really stoked about this playlist.
Love y’all (again didn’t say y’all, but it’s fun to type)
After a little rollercoastering on the scale I am back to 195.4 which has been my lowest weight since I started my journey.
I’m headed out for Nashville in a bit with a stop for a pedicure before I go – gotta be good to my feet. I hope to make the best eating decisions possible this weekend. I’ll have my laptop and BlackBerry so I won’t be completely out of touch.
I ran 75.9 miles this month. I had some wrong calculations when I said a few posts back I’d do over 80 this month…my weekly running schedule is off track from the calendar, so if I tacked on the rest of this week I would have been over 80. Regardless impressive numbers.
I also worked out 21 out of 30 days this month. Rest days are important, but it’s so much better to think of exercising as the rule and not the exception.
I’m only down 3 pounds this month, but I’m okay with that because I see and feel the changes in body regardless of what the scale says.
So looking ahead…
I’m pretty sure I’m gonna do the Virginia Beach Rock & Roll half marathon Labor Day Weekend
and I actually am also looking into a half marathon in New Orleans Halloween Weekend that a friend might join me for
Tomorrow I leave for Nashville and kicking off my 10K weekend 🙂
