WIW – Slippery Slope

I have just hit a willpower wall, a wall I usually hit this time of year. Less daylight hours, more comfort food. It’s not a great mix. 

I’m still working out 3-4x a week, but I’m also living my life. Lots of parties, travels, occasions. I do best in my weight loss journey when I have less going on in my life. Even with all my work stress, I didn’t have a ton of “fun distractions.”

I’m not giving up on 2017, but I am also ONCE AGAIN, planning on how I can start 2018 off strong. I don’t want to undo even more of my hard working getting these 15 (not 10 lbs off). Let’s see if I can at least stay in cruise control.

I have a love/have relationship with weight watchers tracking, especially since the website doesn’t want to load on my work computer anymore (I’ve tried multiple browsers, I dont get it). so I can only use the app and I’m still someone who prefers to type on a keyboard over a phone. I also prefer to talk on a phone over typing.

To quote the classic Empire Records – “I do not regret the things I’ve done, but the things I’ve failed to do.”

I worked most of the weekend where free food, candy, and gourmet donuts were a-plenty. I had a hard time saying no, plus each night after working all weekend, it was easy to have an alcoholic beverage or two. Because I worked all weekend I didn’t get to a few of my usual fitness classes, but I did get a lot of steps in. 

Like many of you have said it’s easy to deny the sugar monster or alcohol monster when you aren’t indulging much, but once you do it’s harder to wean yourself off. 

Did a healthy grocery shop yesterday and getting back on the wagon for the 10,000th time.

I was expecting that after a fun weekend in Auburn. I need to stop having so many fun weekends that undo all my hard work during the week. Actually, no, I love (albeit NEED) my fun weekends. My new approach is to try and stick to my points 6/7 days of the week – I know I can do it.

189.4 at my weight watchers weigh in today

I’m .4 away from being down 15 lbs since I joined at the end of January! 

This is my lowest recording WW weight in so far (I blame drinking coffee and wearing clothes haha).

Took my measurements today after falling off the measurement wagon for a bit.

My hips and arms are ones that I can really SEE.

In terms of scale

Not the end of the world, I’m coming off of my period and a lot of beer over the weekend. The plan is to push hard today and tomorrow in terms of getting my steps in and eating well before heading back out of town on Friday for some southern fried fun!
