The picture on the left is a perfect example of pictures I’ve cropped to hide the part of the body I didn’t like – it was only posted on social above the waist.

Last year I fell off the @ww wagon after 6ish months, but had been maintaining until November came around. It started with a Fall party we threw and I let eating and drinking get the best of me through the end of the year.

Right after Christmas – even before January 1 – I recommitted to the new #wwfreestyle program and to working out. There is so much more than 20 pounds between these two pictures.

Pulling this chart from @fitbit is a wonderful reminder of how far I’ve come this year. I still I have my sights set on reaching 168 by New Year’s Eve which would put me at a normal BMI for the first time ever as an adult.

It is both frustrating and lovely to be trapped in the high 170s for the essentially the last 3 months.

The light blue are my actual weigh ins and dark blue is my trend weight.

I’d rather be here than stuck in the high 180s or 190s which I’ve known AALLLL too well over the last 8 years. Slow and steady wins the race.

I need to remember to shift my mindset and also count not gaining a bunch of weight these past 3 months as a victory too. I’d STILL love to see 168 by New Years Eve, but I won’t be devastated if I’m not there. I just don’t want to be too hard on myself and “give up” until I can 100% refocus and restart after the holidays. I’m determined to stay on the wagon! So Giddyup!

I already feel better and more in control this week now that I’m eating back on my @weightwatchers plan and tracking with a goal of 5 blue dot days a week. I have been very successful with these tools and I can’t let blips (AKA LIFE) throw me off course.
I’m happy that my latest summer plateau has at least kept me hovering in the high 170s, but I’m eager to see the low 170s like I did briefly in July.
