I’m on a roll this week, first talking about my boobs and now I’m gonna talk about my underwear.

So now two days in a row I wore boy shorts style underwear to the gym. I love boy shorts they are probably my favorite kind of underwear to wear, EXCEPT when working out. Boy shorts and me running don’t mix…I end up with like mega wedgies. And yes I’m the girl who picks her wedgies at the gym….I DON’T CARE…I’d rather be comfortable running then care about someone else thinks. Regardless I hate getting wedgies when running. My gym undies of choice are bikini briefs.

How about the rest of you. Do you work out in boy shorts, briefs, thongs, none?

I love playing with my hair and hair color.

March was the first time I put blue and purple in my hair and I LOVED IT.

This time around I decided to amp up the purple a bit more.

I’m gonna be sweating purple for a month when I run!!

Days like this I really wish I took a "Before Picture.“ I think I was too afraid to see what I looked like and then would have had "proof” that I was that unfit.

Regardless I’m on my path to fitness and I can’t believe the confidence that has come with it.

I actually bought this dress in DECEMBER (I know random) and planned on wearing it with like leggings and a long sleeve shirt underneath. Well I never did. The dress hung in my closet for months, I even packed it to wear on my DC trip, but never wore it. When I packed for this trip I put it in my suitcase because it was red, white and blue. I showed my friend the dress and she told me to try it on. I warned her that it was too short and I wasn’t going to wear it, but I put on the dress for the first time in months and I didn’t hate how I looked in it. The dress was actually a normal length and looked cute. I didn’t feel self-conscious wearing it. I don’t know what got into me, but at one bar I decided to do karaoke. Ummm I’ve only done that once and I was BEYOND drunk. However I only had one beer and thought why the heck not. Was my singing terrible…I’m sure, but I had fun and got lots of claps and high fives after.

All of this really makes me think of the posters in my gym that says:

Change your body. Change your life.

Those words are becoming truer than I ever could have imagined.

My little mouse (ok he’s a pomeranian) Freddie was looking extra cute today and I thought I’d share his cuteness with you all.

He is 2.5 years old and 7 pounds of loooooove.

Freddie has become quite a good runner as well, usually I only take him out on 3 milers or less.

Sadly Freddie will be at the kennel this weekend while I’m in Nashville and he also will be getting all his yearly tests/shots etc. Poor thing. Lucky for him I am spoiling him rotten tonight!

My test run in my 10K outfit went REALLY well yesterday. I think dri fit clothing has changed my life. Seriously though I felt so good in my gear and not like an overheated, sweaty, soggy mess. I actually PR’ed by nearly a minute on my treadmill 5K.

  • BCG dri fit tank
  • Nike Pro dri fit compression shorts
  • Adidas sweatband.

Also please note the pigtail buns!

No spanx required. I thought about wearing them, but it’s so hot out today that I’d really rather not. I think I look cute, although I’m pretty sure my macbook camera has like built-in photoshop because somehow the pictures look better than I think I do and I didn’t like picking out the good ones, I just took a few and threw them on here…we’ll see. However I can promise you my chub or jelly to quote Beyonce is waaaay less cute in the seated position.

Maybe I’ll be brave enough soon to take some pictures in my undies and chronicle weight loss/body change – I really wish I had done that from the start, but I still have a long way to go and once I hit my GW and UGW it will still be excellent to see the progress

All this running is really paying off in the leg department. That’s the only part of my body I’ve been getting comments about lately. I used HATE wearing shorts, but for work in the summer I have to and I’ve come to embrace my legs. Tonight I thought I’d pair my shorts with some wedges another thing I NEVER wear because I’m so self conscious about my height.

World meet the new me, a girl who wears shorts and heels freely 🙂

Motivational Monday: Real Women Have Curves

A few months ago when facebook did the doppelganger week I put Kate Winslet. I got it from time to time – mainly around when Titanic came out and Kate had a fuller figure. Well I’m hoping to one day be a doppelganger for the svelte Kate!
