UMMMMMM why did no one tell me how DELICIOUS this was?!?!

I HATE milk and only consume ½ and ½ in my coffee, but with wanting to go full throttle paleo I thought I’d cut the ½ and ½ out.

Well hot damn this stuff is tasty and it was great in my coffee this morning!

Paleo Successes

Wow now that my body over the shock of the adjustment to Paleo I am feeling great and have been surprised how easy making the right choices have been!

I had a friend in town this weekend visiting and we ate out a good bit, but I was able to choose things that were already Paleo friendly or make a few adjustments so they would be. I even resisted my favorite cheese dip with potato wedges while they were consumed in front of me. 

I did drink beer this weekend, which was a cheat, but when out on saturday my friends were going to get pizza, but we were able to stop at a Sweet Greens for me to get an amazing salad that had KALE – my first kale experience. I brought my salad to the pizza place while my friends ate pizza. 

The support from friends and coworkers has really been the most helpful. No one has made me feel weird or like an inconvenience due to my dietary limitations which is the most helpful.

I can’t believe I ran my first marathon a year ago today…and I REALLY can’t believe I’ve ran another one since then! However Los Angeles you will always be my first and so far my favorite!

Pale-WOE

So yesterday was my 3rd day on Paleo and I felt like I ran 2 back to back marathons and then got hit by a bus. It was CRAZY. 

After consulting some blogs and texting with Trainer Dan – I upped my healthy fats and veggie carbs as well as added salt to some of my water.

I’m happy to report I feel MUCH better today.

I’m still battling a bit of a cold and sore legs from working out hard this weekend/racing but yesterday was unlike any feeling I’ve ever had. 

In even better news tonight I get to host the lovely RunningBeautiful at my apartment!
