Concerts Galore
I’m so glad I’m back in the swing of going to concerts and somehow able to see some of my favorite artists multiple times lately!
Coming up:
- Nov 15: Andrew McMahon at 9:30 Club (my first time at 9:30)
- Nov 18: Nick Thomas (formerly of Spill Canvas) at Jammin’ Java
- Dec 2: David Cook at Jammin’ Java
Earlier this year:
- May: David Cook at Hamilton’s
- July: David Cook on Long Island & Darius Rucker at Wolf Trap
- August: Andrew McMahon/Matt Nathanson/Gavin DeGraw at Wolf Trap & Nick Thomas (formerly of the Spill Canvas) at Jammin’ Java
- October: WMZQ Fall Fest Featuring Darius Rucker
Bonus: I saw Hedwig and If/Then on Broadway which aren’t concerts exactly, but I mean come on NPH and Idina are both legit
Loving my new Sally Hansen nail wraps! I just wish my fingernails weren’t so short right now.
Success
2 miles on the treadmill
60 min spin class
Even got a mini tour of the entire facility by a colleague who I saw in spin. That pool is calling my name and was nowhere near as crazy as I feared!
Then came home and did a short ab video.
Victorious
Next Tuesday is Veterans Day
Crowdsourcing: Is there etiquette on what to do/get for your boyfriend who is a Veteran?
Breaking my 6 month streak
Today will be the first day in ~6 months that I will be GOING TO THE GYM.
Damn you day light savings.
I spent the spring, summer, and most of fall running, biking, swimming, outside in addition to doing insanity or/or body pump at the house.
The only time I’ve been to the gym since May was to cancel my old gym membership and switch to my University’s gym (for the pool which I have yet to use….sssssshhhhhush).
This darkness after work is not motivating at all, even when I comes to working out at home. So I packed my trusty gym bag and will be going straight to the gym (no driving required which may help motivate me) after work.
David Cook $1Million Fundraising Milestone Show at Jammin Java
David Cook $1Million Fundraising Milestone Show at Jammin Java
I wanted to pass along info on David Cook’s fundraising concert on 12/2 at Jammin Java (a cute venue in NoVa – like 15 min from me) in an effort to reach $1 Million for Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure. Here’s the link if you and others want to come out for the show. Tickets are $25 +fees. I’ll be there as a volunteer and attendee.

If you are local I encourage you to buy a ticket for his show, it’s sure to be a good one – he won Season 7 of American Idol, but I promise you David is the real deal. Either way perhaps consider donating to ABC2. I ran the LA marathon for ABC2 and I’ve run their Race for Hope DC 5K every year since 2010!

Dear all, Over the course of the last 5, almost 6, years, the amount of support, financial and otherwise, that you have shown to both myself and ABC2 has been astounding. I can’t possibly say thank you enough. It is one of my proudest life experiences to be involved in this fight, and I’m continuously floored that you choose, time and again, to join in this fight with us. Which brings me to now. We’re nearing an important milestone in this journey. $1 million in donations for brain cancer research. I’ll type that again. $1 million. A nice round number, and one I’d like to celebrate reaching with you. You can be a part of celebrating the latest accomplishment in our journey to help eradicate this terrible disease by making a donation today. We are only $70,000 away from hitting that $1 Million mark! Thank you in advance for all your support, and I can’t wait to celebrate 1 MILLION with you! David Join us on 12/2 at Jammin Java in Vienna, VA for a special benefit concert to celebrate this milestone! Get your tickets here: http://jamminjava.com/event/715083!
