I remeasured my belly button point again at lunch and it came up 38.5 so I’m sure I was on drugs this morning – that number sounds more likely. I’m still surprised because my stomach appears to have “popped” back in.

ALL WATER WEDNESDAY
Living in Alabama and having to be outside for work (working new student orientation) in the dead of summer is just asking for heat stroke. My boss always has us have “All Water Wednesdays” before our afternoon of being outside to keep us hydrated. He will literally throw away soda, coffee, juice if he sees it. He’ll allow Gatorade or like crystal light, but his preference is for us to drink straight H2O.
Last week I mentioned that I am instituing my own ALL WATER WEDNESDAYS and encourage you all to follow suit. Some of you said you want to, but can’t part with your morning coffee/caffiene. I’m a coffee drinker too (I plan to resist on Wednesdays), but you know what – I’d rather you start your day with caffeine if you need and then spend the rest of your Wednesday only drinking water. Don’t let your caffeine addiction keep you from hydrating well on Wednesdays.
I will put on a reminder post tomorrow AM.

Comments Question
Is there a way for nontumblr users (like my IRL friends) to comment on my tumblr posts – even if it is as anon?
UPDATE:Thanks for the quick responses. So non tumblrites you can you use Disqus – it should pop up when you click comment. You may need to register for it or I think you can comment without registering – if anon feel free to sign your message so I know who it is from.

Some ups and downs with measurements – I may redo my belly measuremenet, because I’m shocked that it jumped 3 inches, like not possible, my belly looks gooood. Regardless of numbers I feel freaking great. I am having a “skinny” day and I peeked at the scale and was quite excited by the number I saw, I hope it doesn’t get scared off for WIW tomorrow.
Puddle of sweat
I haven’t worked out on a Monday in quite sometime, I guess because Sundays were/are my “long runs” and I’ve rested Monday however due to my schedule right now Tues and Thurs have to be my rest day and my “long runs” are still only single digits right now.
So I went to the gym and it was PACKED. I grabbed a treadmill and knocked out 2 miles before spin class, then went to spin then ran 1 more mile. Since there were so many people at the gym I was soaked BEFORE spin and then spin was packed too. My usual Wednesday class isn’t as busy. I sat in a different spot in the room, but really liked it.
I may been sore, but I feel so alive and tomorrow I rest.
IRL Readers
ZOMG,
I just sent out an email to a few of my friends in real life who were avid followers of my pretty much defunct blogspot blog about my life and told them about this blog.
My email said:
Dear loyal readers of My Quarter Life Catharsis,
As I’m sure you have noticed my blogging has dropped off, however that’s not the whole truth. I have been a blogging fiend over on my tumblr. Tumblr is a different type of blogging community. I blog as a “fitblr” – a health and fitness blog.
My Tumblr has been VERRRY private for nearly a year. I warn you I blog a lot about working out and what I’m eating, but I also blog about life and what’s going on with me – much like the musings from My Quarter Life Crisis.
I know that many of you kept tabs on me through my blog and I want you to still be able to follow me, but I do ask if you chose to follow me please do not list my blog on any blog roll you may have. It’s weird on Tumblr I have 550+ followers that subscribe to my blog, but they are mainly strangers or people I only know through blogging so I don’t know why it scares me so much to share this with you all, but I love and trust you all…

I’m not sure if you’re able to comment on posts, but you can always message me by using the “ASK ME ANYTHING” link located on the bottom left column. Just be sure you leave your name after the message because it will come up anon. here’s a direct link to the ask page too http://measuringlife.tumblr.com/ask
Also be warned I have a lot of pictures of myself (DRESSED I PROMISE) and even some videos. I intend on eventually putting up more progress pictures – Some maybe me in a sports bra or something (both “before” and “after”), but nothing too inappropriate. In my blog I am pseudo anon – in the Fall I started showing my face on my blog, but I don’t use my name and I try and be somewhat vague at times. you’ll see.
It’s totally up to you to read my self-centered tumblr. It really is, it’s all about me. it’s vain at times, but it also keeps me accountable, so if you start reading and decide it not your cup of tea no worries. But if you like my blog or have feedback, comments, questions let me know – I do like to hear from readers, especially those who know me IRL “in real life”
Kisses!
Welcome REAL LIFE FRIENDS :X I mean 😀 I mean 😛
The Early Bird…
I went to bed a little after midnight last night, slept well and then found myself wide awake at 5:30am. I tried to go back to sleep, but I was feeling chipper so at 5:45am I got out of bed. This morning I folded laundry, made coffee, watched part of the Oscars, dusted, applied for a job (I applied for 2 other jobs last night), packed a bunch of yummy treats for the the office this week and got to work ON TIME!
I’m feeling KICK ASS today. I hope to keep up these productivity levels. I’m loving it!
Sunday Centeredness
This morning I went to a different church with a very music oriented service which was awesome. It felt like a concert at times, I really enjoyed it. A bunch of my students were there and I sat with a few of them. I’m planning on going back.
This afternoon I ran a self imposed 10K and then went to yoga. I actually drove to the gym then ran a 5K out and a 5K back before yoga class which was a combo of great poses and great music.
I feel fan-freaking-tastic.
I missed my boyfriend this weekend, but I loved the time to myself. I cleansed my mind, body, spirit and apartment!
Yummies
My goodness I made spaghetti squash last night for the first time – HOT DAMN that bitch was tasty. I don’t love that it cost $5+ but I have to say it was magical. I tried it in 3 small servings. 1 with tomato sauce, 1 with pesto sauce, 1 with olive oil, garlic, oregano. They were all tied for most delicious.
QUESTION: I have a TON of it I put in a gladware container, how long can it sit around? What are reheating recommendations?
This morning I had a Vitatop breakfast sandwich – YUM and only 150 calories.
I had a pretty successful trip to Publix yesterday, it has been a LONG time since I’ve been. I ended up getting my regular groceries at Wal-Mart and then went to public for speciality items. It was pretty successful and cost effective. Buying the right foods is key to weightloss success and it’s really worth it to drop the money.
OKAY 5K
Ran in a 5K on campus this morning. I have missed the feeling of waking up early to run on a weekend with other crazy racing nuts! I was really anxious about today’s 5K because I know my speed isn’t where it should be.
The weather was beautiful and there was a good turn out for the run. I started at the front of the starting line and overexerted myself the first quarter mile (I was just so excited to be racing) running under a 8min/mile pace. Well the first of many hills kicked my ass, so I slowed down a bit at times, but never stopped to walk. My legs were a bit tight after a 4.5 mile run yesterday, but I pushed through the pain at found myself a solid pace.
I crossed the finish line at 29:09 – I had wanted under 30 minutes, but I secretly would have liked something in the 28 minute range. Considering I fell off the training wagon for a little bit I can’t complain and it just gives me more motivation to push myself.
The 5K was a good start to my “ME” weekend. I had a long to do list and this 5K was a great way to kick off a productive weekend.
