Gloved miles

I finally pushed my ass outside for a run and reluctantly put on gloves and a vest in hopes to stay warm.

I actually felt great. I haven’t REALLY run since my marathon relay almost a month ago.

I only did two miles, but I’m feeling good about working my way up for my 12K in a month.

I actually shed my gloves a mile in and thought it really isn’t so bad out. The hardest part about most runs really is just getting out the damn door.

Consider this a motivation nudge, get out the door and run, you won’t regret it!

I’m back visiting where I used to and live and work before DC. I’m heading to my old gym to go to my all time favorite spin instructor’s RPM class. I’m like stupid excited, it’s park of the reason I planned my trip for Sat-Tues instead of Fri-Mon!!

Success

2 miles on the treadmill
60 min spin class

Even got a mini tour of the entire facility by a colleague who I saw in spin. That pool is calling my name and was nowhere near as crazy as I feared!

Then came home and did a short ab video.

Breaking my 6 month streak

Today will be the first day in ~6 months that I will be GOING TO THE GYM.

Damn you day light savings.

I spent the spring, summer, and most of fall running, biking, swimming, outside in addition to doing insanity or/or body pump at the house.

The only time I’ve been to the gym since May was to cancel my old gym membership and switch to my University’s gym (for the pool which I have yet to use….sssssshhhhhush).

This darkness after work is not motivating at all, even when I comes to working out at home. So I packed my trusty gym bag and will be going straight to the gym (no driving required which may help motivate me) after work.

My bridesmaid dress for this weekend.

I blindly guessed at my size since I was in between like 3 sizes based on my measurements and hoped for the best since I wasn’t able to try the actual dress on.

I got the dress the first weekend in Sept and was nervous about trying it on. A few weeks later I put it on, but it was a little snug at the waist, but almost a touch big everywhere else. Thankfully my boobs aren’t spilling out like my bridesmaid dress 2 years ago.

I’ve been working hard the past month despite not seeing the scale move (until this morning – 2 lbs down). I put the dress on last night and it fits better.

To ensure that I feel comfortable I’m doing a Dr. Oz 3 day juice/smoothie cleanse again and I plan on getting a new pair of industrial strength spanx!

T is coming up with me as my date for the wedding and I just want to look and feel my best.
