Marathon Relay
Tomorrow I’m running the Baltimore Running Festival Marathon as part of a relay team. Relay teams are 4 members, each covering either 7 miles or 6.1 miles. My teammates are novice runners who have been training for weeks for their distance. I’m excited for them to participate in such a big race.
I’m runner #2 tomorrow, covering 7 miles. With all of the excitement of the marathon it may be hard to get me off the course after my 7 miles!
Mental Health Morning
I could. not. even. handle the idea of going to work this morning.
I was at work late last night dealing with a staff disciplinary situation and was just in a sour mood when I got home after an annoying and stressful day. So I emailed that I was taking the morning because of a migraine (not completely true, but my head was spinning/pounding).
So this morning I got to sleep in, run 3 miles with Freddie, do a body pump workout, and make lunch.
I’d much prefer a 12:30-5:30 schedule everyday. I wonder if I could swing it!
FALL FOCUS
After some crazy work shenanigans and finally hitting the 6 week point of the semester passing I’ve been able to refocus on myself.
I got 3 runs in this week and committed to Body Pump.
I have a team relay on the 18th where I need to run 7 miles and then I need to fit in my bridesmaid dress on the 25th. And most importantly I don’t want to feel like a fat fuck in everyday life.
This crisp fall weather that came in this weekend is helping, especially after a pitiful run on Friday. I hope to get out and run 3x a week. AND I also need to get my bike tire fixed since it’s been flat since right after my Tri on 8/24 and I haven’t been on it since then.
I can’t let work de-rail me and I don’t want to use T as an excuse, especially since we only see each other on Wednesdays during the week. I have other viable weekdays to workout.
On this day 4 years ago…
I ran my first Half Marathon!!!!

Officials, lawmakers and staffers from both parties gleefully compete over the number of steps they walk daily.
Great read. I’m working on 2 different conference presentations related to making time for fitness and friendly competition in the workplace.
Boom! Took me just over 13 months to do it! Next badge is when I hit 3,000 lifetime miles!
Had to update the car decal #swagnar #ragnardc
