This is not an April Fool’s joke

Thanks to my tax refund and today’s pay day I am NOW OFFICIALLY 100% CREDIT CARD DEBT FREE!!!

I’ve been chipping away for YEARS and in January I decided to get really serious, buckle down and pay as much as I could per month, even if it meant not building up a saving account in the interim.

Until my next paycheck I’ll be living meagerly, but I just couldn’t resist paying the last chunk in one fell swoop today.

Goodbye credit card debt!

Hello back to building up my savings!

And I’m continuing to make double the monthly payments on my school loan in addition to rounding up the to the nearest hundred on my car loan!

4 months and 3 days until I’m 30 – let’s see what I can get done in that time!

Thanks for your perspective – the shift helped give me some clarity.

I am going to abstain from sweets during lent. I too easily have allowed myself to eat a cookie or a munchkin here and there as a “treat” however in my heart of hearts I know my treats have become tooooo regular.

I think a 40 day challenge will be good for me and help me stay focused and regain the willpower towards sweets that I once had!

Additionally I am going to work on holding a plank for more than a minute with a goal of doing it 20 times in the next 40 days. If I surpass that great, but I also want to set an attainable goal because I know where my plank challenge missteps were last year.

Successful full week of logging my day to day health related habits

  • Exercise
  • Vitamin
  • Sweets accountability
  • Eating after 9 accountability
  • Alcohol notes
  • WIW
  • Church – good for the health of my soul

I kicked off logging things on Jan 1 which was a Tuesday, so the picture of my book the week before wasn’t as chock full!

It’s crazy how knowing that before bed I have to write “yes sweets” if I had a cookie/candy/etc makes me NOT want to eat them because I don’t want to write it in my book later. I logged this stuff so regularly in 2010 and 2011, but fell off the wagon in 2012 so it feels good to be back and concretely holding myself accountable!

I love a new year – it’s a good “excuse” to refresh your routine.

I went shopping yesterday after I posted my WIW yesterday which made me feel crappy, but also made me snap to reality and refocus.

  • Bought 2 calendars – 1 wall calendar (which has awesome positivity themed months with phrases and art) to see a month at a glance of how many days a month I work out and to log my WIW.  and 1 daily agenda calendar to do a check in how I ate that day (not a food log, but an accountability log)
  • Went to GNC (and joined their gold club membership) to buy protein powder which I used to do back when I first lost weight and trainer Dan had been nagging me about it too
  • Restocked on my AM and PM wrinkle creams haha
  • Did a super healthy grocery shopping
  • Prepped food for this week’s lunch
  • Today I am going to buy a daily multivitamin – suggestions for one that won’t hurt my tummy please…
