WIW – Nice to see you 180s edition

I like almost cried this morning seeing 189. And of course it’s a .6 my body loves .6

I’m thrilled to finally rid myself of my vacation weight and then some. I amaze myself at the type of losses I’ve had lately, it’s because my overall attitude to running and eating to fuel my body has gotten even more on point.

Today has been CRAZY busy at work, but it’s time to leave and go to the GYM. The first real work out after vacation is always hard, but I’m ready.

I got in the scale this morning and I was 194.4 – better than I feared. I still have hopes to see the 180s by NEXT (not this) Wednesday.

I have some dress and sneaker posts for you as well, but I’m gonna wait until I take pics. I’m hoping to try and backtrack and read a week worths of dashboard posts tonight – we’ll see how that goes, I hope it’s INSPIRING!

WIW – BIRTHDAY EDITION!!!

27 and I’m on top of the world.

This trip home has been innnnnteresting. Lots of twists and turns, but I’ll get into that once I get back to my regularly scheduled life next week.

My eating has been OKAY, but I have not been eating enough which has been problematic. Plus I’ve had more sweets than I would have liked.

My running plans have been hit or miss do to lots of unexpected happenings whilst home. I’m hoping to get in another long run or two before I leave.

Not thrilled, but I know once I get back into my eating and running routine that I will be fine. 

Regardless I look and feel great, my friends and family can’t get over how much my body has changed!

WIW – Up with the sun to run edition

I knew I was going to kill it this week. I wish I could have seen a 190.9 or something, but I’m not complaining either. Overall my July has been a success with over 8 pounds lost. I’m thrilled that I pushed through a major plateau in May/June and I feel unstoppable. Next Wednesday is my birthday and I’m coming for you 180s!!!

I also decided my UGW goal date: March 21, 2011. It’s the first day of Spring and Spring is a time of new beginnings and rebirth so I think it’d be perfect. I’m 23 pounds from my GW (December 31, 2010) and 36 pounds from my UGW. I’m on pace for both of those to be realities which is unreal!

P.S. I got up bright and early for a 4 miler this morning and kick off my roadtrip this afternoon (you all can keep up with my handy dandy schedule). I will try my best to stay in touch! xoxo

Nobody loves a gain, but considering 2 banquets and some other celebratory indulgences I feel okay about it. I also missed an 8 mile run last week, so I’m pretty confident that I can be down 4-5 pounds in TWO WEEKS which is my birthday. I honestly hope to have a good loss for next week’s WIW because I head out of town that afternoon and I feel more confident in my ability to maintain than lose while home/on vacation.

HOT DAMN. I’m so excited I didn’t cheat and get on the scale yesterday because this morning was SO exciting. YES like 2 pounds of that weight was weight I had already lost and then gained back 4th of July, but to lose another 2.5 pounds on top of that is just MAGICAL.

Also I wanted to mention that working new student orientation the past 10 weeks and managing to LOSE about 10 pounds has been amazing, because it’s a running joke that everyone gains 10 pounds during orientaiton due to lots of tempting food at our fingertips and also having to grab and go a lot of the time. I’ve fallen victim the past few summers, so it’s AMAZING that I lost 10 pounds this summer and with orientation wrapping up this week I can’t wait to see how well I do in the coming months!

My goal of being in the 180s by my birthday (August 4th) is so close I can TASTE it and that is the sweetest treat of them all!

WIW – I blame the booze edition

Last Week: 196.8 (195.4 – this was my weight last Friday after WIW)

This Week: 198.2

I’m not thrilled with a gain, but I knew it was coming. I ate fairly well this weekend (minus the wedding cake), but I drank a goooood bit. I don’t even know why, it’s been like 2 months since I DRANK and I guess I just wanted to blow off steam since I was on vacation in a new town. Plus I think the 10K made me feel like I could induldge and I don’t regret it. I’m back on track and that’s what matters. I’m still aiming for 189 by my birthday – August 4!

Regardless of what the scale says I still feel great. I actually had to use a smaller belt notch this morning which was very exciting.

Yay

After a little rollercoastering on the scale I am back to 195.4 which has been my lowest weight since I started my journey.

I’m headed out for Nashville in a bit with a stop for a pedicure before I go – gotta be good to my feet. I hope to make the best eating decisions possible this weekend. I’ll have my laptop and BlackBerry so I won’t be completely out of touch. 

WIW Hotel Edition

So last night/today I’m in Birmingham and my coworkers and I went to dinner and my job was footing the bill. We went to an interesting grill/steak house. I had a yummy salad and one glass of wine and a baked potato…eeek. It could have been worse, but it could have been better too. However money’s been tight lately and it was nice to splurge since I wasn’t paying.

So according to the scale I’m up a poundish which is fine (I also didn’t drop the kids off at the pool this morning – I literally laughed outloud typing that, I spent a good minute trying to figure out how to write that and then Jessica Simpson circa being on newlyweds saying that came to mind).

I plan on doing measurements tonight when I get home (post 5 mile run) which I’m really looking forward to. I’m gonna weigh myself on friday for a more accurate pre-race weight and hopefully I’ll be in the 195/4 range.

WIW Victory

2.2 POUNDS! Seriously this is the biggest 1 week loss I’ve had in 2 months.

I’ve lost 27.2 pounds and have 27.4 to go until my GW. It’s going to be so exciting to see the pounds lost be MORE than the pounds to go until GW. That all makes my UGW (40.4 pounds from this weight) seem more possible.
