WIW Rollercoaster

Last week: 199.4 (that was after I was UP 1 pound from the week before)

This week: 197.6

I’m strill frustrated because on Monday I was 197.2. My body loves to rock between numbers for a week or two and then drop, but I haven’t had a 4-5 pound loss in a week since week 1, I don’t know how you guys do it.

Despite the weight not being where I thought it should be, I feel stronger. I can’t wait to do my measurements in July.

Also I think I’ve gotten TALLER? is that possible, that people lose weight and get taller? I had to adjust my shower this morning. Taller is the last thing I need, I need to properly figure this out soon.

Regardless this morning I ran 3 miles in 8am scorching heat in 35:02 min which may be a PR for outdoor running.

I couldn’t resist after 2 days of spectacular runs and my period being over I weighed myself this morning (personally I try not to do it daily for my mental health).

Back to down 198.4 – hoping to knock off at least .6 pounds by Monday which is my massage aka 25 pound loss reward.

I also like on calorie count it shows you your “trend weight” which keeps in account how much your weight fluxuates throughout the day and my trend weight currently is 200.66 – so far I’ve never been heavier than my trend weight – so I hope once the trend weight is down that I never see a “2” before my weight ever again.

Also on this graph it’s funny – I feel like I can also seen the “bumps” in weight most likely due to my period and/or binge drinking and/or both 😛

WIW

This week: 199.4

Last week 198.4

I still have an “1” infront and I’m okay with that. This week with my period and back to back orientation sessions it was crazy, but now the next week is slow at work and I plan on kicking ass and taking names at the gym!

Also one of my besties is coming to Nashville for the 4th of July and I *think* she’s going to run the 5K while I do the 10K. She doesn’t think she’s ready, but I know she has it in her!

WIW

So as you may remember last week was my first official WIW and I wrote:

I’m jumping on the Weigh in Wednesday bandwagon!

Alas I am holding steady at 200.6 AKA where I was A MONTH AGO. This month was a little crazy with a long weekend in Baltimore/DC/PA and a quick trip to Boston in addition to training my orientation leader staff for ten, 10+ hour days.

I know this month I hit around 205 at one point, so I’m glad I’m back down I’m just bitter. I WANT NOTHING MORE TO BE OUT OF THE GODDAMN 200s and I’ve had to look at a friggin 2 longer than I’ve wanted. Next Weigh in Wednesday IT’S FREAKIN ON…MARK MY WORDS THERE WILL BE A “1” IN FRONT OF MY WEIGHT.

Well guess what kids today I weighed 198.4!!!!!!!!!

I have to admit after a pretty kickass weekend of working out and eating well I couldn’t wait so I weighed myself yesterday and was at 199.0 I was THRILLED. So needless to say I am not only PUMPED, but really proud of myself for hitting 198.4. It feels great after a  major plateau in May that me and my body are battling through.

Happy WIW to all of you and don’t be down if you’re not thrilled with this week’s number because we have all been there and we are all in this together.

This morning I got on the scale and was nervous about what I would see. I really wanted to be down about 2 pounds and REALLY wanted to be down like 5 pounds. However my weight loss has been SLOW, but steady. I thought about how I ran/worked out 20 days this month…and the past 2 weeks I’ve been running 5x a week.

The 5K this weekend really put this whole weight loss plan into high gear and it was scary to know where I’d hope to be and where I was.

I dropped 4.6 pounds in the past 10 days.
That put my total weight loss to date at an even 22 pounds.

My body apparently loves my scale to say XXX.6 (seriously many of my weight loss increments have included the number ending in.6) – so yes I’m .6 over my MAJOR GOAL, but honestly in this case almost does count. Weight fluctuates so easy and I’m sure that .6 will come and go as I approach Sunday, but I’m not gonna get a scale before then. I’m thrilled with where I’m at and I hope to keep my health in my mind as I spend a long weekend with friends, but still enjoy myself.

Enjoy my pretty graph in my absence!

Progress

I’m down 17 pounds yo!

I’m like 6 pounds away from a MAJOR goal. I am REALLY hoping to meet it in 30 days. I have a 5k on May 2nd and I would love to hit that weight.

My drama at the moment is that I have only like 5 sessions left with my personal trainer. The sessions I’ve had since the end of January were like a BONUS from old training sessions that I cancelled due to the cost. I really planned to use those extra sessions to give my weight loss a jump start and then be done. However I REALLY like my trainer and I have been making really good progress. So I looked into continuing with him and I even signed a contract, but the next day I cancelled the contract due to various reasons. I’m hoping to work out a different contract shortly, but we shall see.

I was at the track again yesterday for the 2nd time and I plan to go tomorrow as well to work on hitting the pavement.

Droppage

As of last week I am down to XX8.4 which means I’m down another pound – putting my weight loss to 14.2 pounds and I have another “weigh in” this Thursday.

I’m 11 weeks in and as much as I’m glad I’m losing weight I wish I were past the 20 pound mark at this point. I just need to push harder.

The Incredible Shrinking Woman

Okay okay, no one has actually said anything to me about looking like I’ve lost weight, but I totally have and I see the changes in myself, my body and how my clothes fit.

I weighed myself today and saw I surpassed another mile mark in my weight loss. I went from one bracket of numbers to the lower one. For example if I weight 532 pounds before I am now 529 pounds. Granted I am hundreds of pounds less than that and still not comfortable to write the number, but I can say I am 10 pounds away from feeling comfortable enough with coming clean with my weight – on here at least.

So in the past 7.5 weeks I am have dropped: 13.2 pounds!
My disclaimer is half of that weight I put on over the holidays, but now in the last 6 pounds or so am I noticing, in my opinion, positive differences. I think cutting out sweets and writing things down and keep count of things is helping me. If I could drop another 13.2 pounds in the next 7.5 weeks that would be phenomenal and then if I dropped another 13.2 pounds in the 7.5 weeks after that I could actually be VERYCLOSE to my “goal weight.”

When you look at it that way it is so much more attainable instead of saying I’d like to lose 40 pounds.

Wrapping up January

My first 4 weeks of measuring 2010 are as followed:

Coffee: 33
Gym Days: 14
Miles: 34.2 (measured)
Calories burned: 5816 (measured)

Weight Loss: 9.4 pounds
Note: I lost about 8 pounds the first two weeks because I jump started my exercise habits and was more mindful of what I ate as opposed to eating whatever I wanted over the Holidays. The next week I gained about 6 pounds back (I attest some of it to going away for a long weekend and also having my period). As of Friday I am down 7ish pounds which brings my grand total to 9.4 pounds for the month which I am very excited about. I hope to lose 4-6 pounds a month from here on out.
