Freddie had a vet follow up on Friday. Vet called on Saturday to tell us Fred’s new meds are working and his blood work looked good. He lost some weight and is starting to grow back some hair which are both good signs. We head back for another ultrasound in mid-March to see how things are looking on the inside. T took this news as permission to get back to screwing with Freddie! #fredfiles

My freshmen year roommate is running Chicago this weekend (her first marathon) in honor of two loved ones she lost to suicide. I’ve been sending her motivational videos/links throughout training and especially this week, but she posted this one today and I loved it.

This afternoon I’m video conferencing in for a presentation with three friends/colleagues at a regional conference in RI. We are presenting on “Fitting In Fitness: Tricks, Tips, and Techniques for Being Healthy Effective Student Affairs Professionals"
The plan is for me to present live via web cam, but lord knows what technology will throw my way, so I filmed this version yesterday and uploaded it youtube as a backup for my colleagues to play if needed. My portion of the presentation consists of "my story” and the 5 domains of Well-Being.
Feel free to check it out (I give tumblr and fitblr major props)
PS – we all decided to wear work out gear for the presentation, hence my shirt
I’ve told you guys about my friend Tim from college who is the king of all BAMFs. Tim was in a serious car accident in 2007 that paralyzed him, but that hasn’t slowed him down. Here’s a video Tough Mudder made about Tim and his team (made up of a ton of awesome guys from college) in their latest race!
Mary Lambert covering “Teenage Dirtbag” by Wheatus
Great song. Great cover. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Needed to get 2 shake out miles in today and the rain/tornado warning were posing a challenge. So desperate times called for desperate measures. Apartment loop miles. My Fitbit tracked my mileage and I did it in about 23 min. Hard to run fast in small quarters, but I did work up a good sweat!
