Weight Watchers

I went to a Weight Watchers at work open house meeting yesterday. 

One of my new work friends has been going to 2 years, so it made me less nervous to check it out. To my surprise I knew a bunch of other people from all across campus (I work at a university) there. I liked the leader and it was really cool to hear other people talk so opening about their success and struggles. I guess I’ve always felt “safer” writing them.

I filled out my membership paperweight and the form for payroll deduction to cover the cost. Next week is my first official meeting and I even looked up meeting near where I live incase I run into work conflicts because my job has incentives that for every 10 meeting you go to they give you $50 “back.”

I’m curious/anxious to learn about points – I’ve never loved “counting” calories, but I also know it is a critical component for long term weight loss and maintenance.

Considering I lost 5.5 pounds during my 3 days refresh cleanse, I’m feeling good about only gaining a pound back.

Tomorrow I’m going to a Weight Watchers at Work open house – it will be my first Weight Watchers meeting ever!

I really enjoyed the Shakeology 3 day refresh! I didn’t miss coffee for the 3 days, I drank herbal tea as recommended instead. Since I was drinking 4 shakes a day I REALLY got excited about the small servicing of fruits/veggies/fats I could eat. I feel like I really enjoyed the food.

The downsides were peeing all the time, including many times throughout the night. Also I didn’t realize how tempting it was to grab a pretzel if T had a bag out or a food sample in the grocery store.

I also hosted a going away party for my colleague and I picked up a huge sheet cake and a nice fruit tray, but I just drank water. I was okay with not eating the cake, but I was cutting it and not licking frosting off my fingers. Truth be told I brought. Piece home for T and a piece I had this morning.

I definitely plan to keep up the recommended fruit and veggie/fat (ex. Carrots and almond butter) servings and really want to get better about pounding water. Gotta keep up this momentum!

WIW sorta

I’m doing the Beachbody/Shakeology 3 day refresh since it’s only a 3 day work week. I started yesterday and it was decent. I didn’t feel overly hungry and I’m drinking a TON of water. The hardest part was the timing of when to eat since they way certain windows of time between meals, snacks, etc. 

I weighed in yesterday and I will weigh in on Friday morning when I am done:

I honestly have NO IDEA what is going on with my body. I’ve worked out 14 of the 17 days of January so far. I’m feeling better and stronger, but some out scale, stop fucking with my head.

progress, I’ll take it. I’m doing the Shakeology 3 day cleanse next Tues-Thurs. I think flushing my system will be a good thing, even if my habits have been really good the past ~2 weeks.

Definitely frustrating when I’ve been pretty on point since last Thursday, but I also ate and drank a lot of junk before then. 

Did measurements for the first time in a few months, they are obviously all UP, but since this is a new year and a new start, I’m only going to focus on today’s numbers.

That’s okay, I hosted a housewarming at our new place this weekend that involved a lot of “holiday cheer.” I’m still doing Shred and making good choices whenever possible. I’m using December to not give myself a bigger hole to dig out of come January!

HOLLER! I know the scale won’t always move in the direction I want or as fast as I want, but I’m motivated and committed to be aware of my choices!

Damnit, I forgot to weigh myself today. I guess that happens when you only got on the scale for the first time in months last week. 

HOWEVER, I think part of the reason I forgot was because I got up early to do the Shred DVD (Level 1 Day 8) before work since I have plans later. Threw we off my usual routine. However I shall weigh in tomorrow, not that numbers mean everything. I already feel better!
