Good to see this summer pounds falling off. I just got back to eating right and working out for an hour 4x a week.
Here’s hoping I keep up a good momentum!

I knew it was there I could feel it and see it.
I’m frustrated because despite a crazy summer schedule I was holding pretty strong in the 182-186 range. Then the end of the summer celebrations hit as did a 2 week vacation.
I made the choice to gain every single pound which is the hardest truth to face.
Looking back it’s like I went out of my way to gain all that weight. God, just thinking about what I ate and my 5 week hiatus from working.
I knew better, I guess I just didn’t care. That’s a half truth. It’s not that I didn’t care, but my cares and worries are most of my focus away from diet and exercise.
So here I am, looking back this is about how much I weighed in August 2010. I am still confident in my abilities to get focused, get back on track and eventually get to my GW of 168 and my UGW of 155.
Here’s to running, weight-lifting, yoga, spinning and smart food choices!
Holding steady at 184 for the past few weeks. I don’t like this plateau, but I know I haven’t done enough to lose much either.

Who knew not eating garbage and working out makes you lose weight. KIDDING. I KNEW THAT. I just chose not to do either of those things for a month. Let’s keep this weight rolling back off!
Last Week: 180.2
Today: 182.2
After my 4 day vacay I’m fine with that number. I still need to give a race recap – hopefully tonight.
Also today is ALL WATER WEDNESDAY (but this girl has had some MUCH NEEDED coffee)
Last Week I didn’t post my weight, but it was a frustrating 182.8
Today: 180.2
I am so sick of the 180s. I keep dancing with the 170s and 180 rudely cuts back in for a sloooooooow dance.
As frustrated as I am, there were years when I PRAYED and YEARNED to be 180 pounds. I’m so thankful to be where I am, but I’d like to break this plateau I’ve been in for 5 months thanks.
My 2nd Annual Race for Hope 5K is this weekend and I am firmly 20+ pounds lighter for it than I was last year. I remember I was cusping in the GLORIOUS 199s at this time last year.
Running alone will not make the scale move. After this weekend I’m picking back up weight training – HARDCORE, I need to make this plateau my bitch. I want to grind with the 170s and then start flirting with the 160s. HAHA

Slow and steady. Slow and steady.
I randomly* asked W how much he thought I weighed this weekend. He guessed 140. I said hell no and he said 130 and I laughed. So he was like 145? no 150? no 155? no 157? no 160? no 161? no 162? no 163? no 164? no 165? no 166? no 167? no 168? mo 169? no. He’s like there is no way you weigh 170 pounds. I told him I weighed 8 pounds more than that. He seemed legitimately shocked.
Don’t let numbers define you. You can’t put a number on happy, sexy or confident!
*Author’s Note: Not that I feel I need to defend my posts, but random was not the best word choice. I meant random as in spur of the moment, not preplanned. I was referencing how my SW is close to my boyfriend’s CW and he couldn’t believe that I only weigh like 50 pounds less than him so I asked him how much he thought I weighed. I was not/nor am I the type of girl who to try to mindfuck my boyfriend.
I’ll take it and I’m happy to see the 170s again! After my other 2 half marathons I saw a GAIN, so this is a nice change of pace. I have a new fire under my ass about dropping LBs. I really think I want to CHOP my hair in a pixie cut, but it needs to be my GW (168) reward. 12 lbs I’m coming for you!
The bolded numbers are Mar 31, the other numbers are Feb 1 and March 1 respectively.
Holler for progress back in the right direction – these measurements pretty much line up with the “before I had a rocky patch” measurements.
I do have to say my favorite part of my body these days is above my knee to my thigh. I’m starting to get some awesome definition.
